Over the decade I've been trying to collect original shirts (none of this toffs bollocks)
here's what I have currently.

If anyone could help me complete my collection that would be mint. I'm after 70's and 80's really but want to get up to 94/95

I have 1990-1992 home shirt but it's a touch MIA after lending it a friend for a game.

I'd be willing to swap both home and away Hobbott 81-83 for other 70's & 80's kits as I have duplicates of them and they are a bit small and well, I enjoy wearing them all.

lovely stuff.

I have pretty much all shirts from 1983 to present day. I will post a pic as soon as I can.

P.S. They're not for sale ;)

top work on the collecting lads! ive only got a handful of shirts

Mine are spread across various vacuum packs and boxes in the attic :), *to be sorted* like all the programmes and scarves :)

glad to see the 97-99 shirt is taking pride of place. Our best ever home shirt in my opinion.

96/97 for me closely followed by 83/88. During the 2004 European Championships I wore the 97/99 to the pub to watch the Greece games.

05/06 was the worst for me as it was such crap quality it seemed like kids had made it for a school project.

Revolution jnr now wears my umbro mid 1980's shirt. That one is in better condition than quite a few of the others of more recent vintage, notably the PL shirts from 06-07 where the advertising has peeled off.

You'll have a job completing a collection. The club was founded in 1889. ;)

Talking of Kits I heard a whisper today that we are signing another 3-year deal with Macron..........anyone else heard that?

I preferred Umbro or Le Coq - never really liked any of the others for quality. Even then some of the Umbro ones were shockers. Feel a bit too old to wear em to games now. Have the new white one in the draw - still with tags on. Still wear some for football training though.

Got a lot of the shirts since the pinstripe from when we went up to div 1, got a lot of away shirts too. Never thrown any away/ got rid. The ones from my teenage years are in varying conditions, some covered in paint, some stained with engine oil etc. not exactly collectors items but I can't get rid.

In fact I've got a decent collection of shirts from 1990 onwards, many from foreign clubs as my dad worked away and brought shirts back

Got a great long sleeve PSG shirt from the '90's. I wore it on John St West terrace when we played Man U in the FA Cup and nearly got my head kicked in by Blades fans as PSG were sponsored by Commodore at the time and Blades fans thought I was a Chelsea Fan! I was only 14-16 at the time!

I always feel weird wearing the shirts of other football clubs. I used to watch Enfield quite a bit when I was a kid but could never bring myself to buy a shirt so eventually I took to sending them a cheque for £40 every couple of years instead. The only non United football shirt I have is for the now defunct Minnesota Thunder and I only bought that because it was for charity.

I do have a few Kilkenny hurling shirts though and even one for Robert Emmett's, the hurling club in St Paul, Minnesota.

I justify it with them being foreign.

I have a decent number of red and white striped shirts of teams like Monaco, athletico Bilbao and two olympiakos ones it's like wearing a blades shirt but with more flair and a preference for falling over theatrically

Forgot all about those NASL shirts from the late 70s, I had a California Surf top.

First Blades shirt I had was the 75-76 one, red and white with black pinstripes, round collar and long sleeves. I always associate that kit with Jimmy Johnstone for some reason. First away one was 80-81, all white with red and black trim and collar.

I like the nasl/misl shirts they are dead mint, I've got a couple. I can't wear other English teams shirts but don't mind kits from further afield.

For united, 81-95 were the "golden age" for me. That's what I'm trying to complete.

I once wore a Blades shirt to the Nou Camp to watch Barcelona (with Barca Blade) but foolishly wore our white away one. Lots of people thought it was a Madrid shirt. Whoops.

I would like to get a Vancouver Whitecaps shirt but it's blue and white so balls to that.

When I went to see the Minnesota Thunder the crowd was full of people in obscure European football shirts.

I'd get a Derry City shirt if they didn't look crap.

I was born in 1939.

They didn't sell replica kits until after the 1950s or 60s
Have you taken up photography Broomhill
Your avatar keeps changing a lot for """ someone older than me"""""""
Replica kits they did not even have a programme or floodlights when we started, winter kick offs at 2.00pm and team changes chalked up on a board and carried round the ground.
Some things have changed for the better!
