I also liked Klopp but not doing himself any favours if he's gonna act like a child.
It's very easy for self importance to overtake fair play and sportsmanship especially when you're the manager if a top 4 PL club.

BOO HOO yer cunt 😭😭😭 perhaps he is beginning to realise they will not be winning the League this season.

Be interesting to see what MOTD have to say about it, particularly as Lineker was critical of Klopp on Twitter.

I love how Wilder has got Klopp rattled.

I actually like Klopp even more for this. But fuck him

Our Chrissy the poster boy for the Premier League? Who’d have thought it.

Was Wilder right to oppose this? The bigger clubs have stronger squads and the five subs Spurs brought in yesterday helped them for the final 20 minutes. Our bench is clearly going to be weaker. Having said that, I think we should have taken off Archer who was clearly exhausted, and this sadly cost us for the winner.

He was definitely right to look after the interests of Sheffield United as one of the smaller squads/budgets, but it was only ever kicking the can down the road as once the big clubs wanted it they were always going to get it.

The longer additional time also helps those big clubs.

Very true. The other thing I noticed is that when the ball went out for a throw in or corner the ball boys were straight away giving another ball to their player (not saying that is wrong but it made the pace relentless adding to the pressure). It also meant for two.of their corners it ended up with two balls on the pitch, they'd taken it so quick the original ball was then thrown back on. The ref wasn't impressed by it because he gave us the second bounce up even though they had had possession.

Several Spurs commenters on the Guardian match report blamed this on our fans throwing the ball onto the pitch.

Such dedicated Spurs fans that they don’t even know which end of their own stadium the away fans are located at. Mind you, it’s a long trip from LA or Mumbai.

I mean, you couldn't possibly get any further away from the blades fans.

As for original point, of course it was Wilder protecting his club. Klopp made it out it was all about the health and safety of his players (*cough bullshit). This is a manager that would field Mane Salah and firminho in league cup matches against fucking Hartlepool.

It was always about giving the bigger squads the best possible chance of winning.

I saw on the Spurs forum they weren't happy we got the second bounce up, which I know should have been awarded to them because Spurs had possession. But it was in such a dangerous position it gave them an unfair advantage for something that is their fault (don't take a corner straight away with another ball when there is a good chance their fan is going to throw the original ball back from a stand that is steeper than the North Face of the Eigar!).
