Tifo - Why Not At Bramall Lane?

Exactly
The same moaning old twats that distributed a 100,000 yellow balloons to our supporters in the 90's and thought it was a wonderful spectacle (which it was) are now using their new found grown up responsible status to rubbish anything that anyone suggests
But they’re not stopping anyone, and never have. The difference is that those wanting to do it now look for the weakest of excuses to blame everyone else for their own incompetence and inability to get organised.
It’s a bit pathetic really.

Oh stop it
Someone's only got to stand up to get something out of their pocket and some 1980's hardman wants to smash someones face in...............all so that health and safety can be preserved of course.

You have a weird fixation about older fans punching younger ones.

Bert has been to around 1,000 United games.

Have a guess how many times he's seen that happen.

For the record, I'm not against the culture of tifos, pyros, orchestrated atmospheres etc. I love the Copa90 videos on youtube and the work of writers like James Montague. I think it looks great and it certainly makes for a good spectacle and atmosphere.
I just don't see why we should feel the need to adopt someone else's football culture when we have a rich football culture of our own. It would feel contrived and let's face it, would be a timid and sanitised version of what we see on the continent or in South America. I don't think the British display their passion in the same way as some other fanbases and it would be an awkward fit. There's a reason we're stereotyped as having a stiff upper lip.
We've got a traditional northern football club still located in the centre of the city in a beautiful and unique old stadium. Generations of the same family are comfortable attending the games together. Friends can meet before and after the game in the same old boozers that have stood in the same places for 100+ years. Pies, Bovril, Victorian terraces, half-day Saturdays, grey, drizzle, jumpers for goalposts, flat caps, rattles and rosettes...British football culture...marvellous ;)
It's great. The only thing that's missing is the atmosphere 😕

Gone damn Woke Liberati, spoiling everyone’s fun and doing all the terrible things that you’ve just made up.
It’s about time someone taught those 80s hard men, who are now in their late 50s and early 60s, a lesson. Smashing all these young kids’ faces in for simple health and safety violations and lording it up with all their own pronouns.
Damn them all. Damn them all to hell.

I'm not sure that those who create the Tifo's no matter which country they reside in create them simply for
Insta/TikTok. Far more they can do that costs nothing in time, effort, finances.

Which area of Bramall Lane on a matchday is the best for atmosphere, that includes the away end, would you say?
Though that would beg the question of why they were doing them before insta tok.

BDTBL is now proud to be home to one of the most sanitised and controlled football experiences in the UK.
We used to be more Leeds/West Ham/Newcastle of the old days now you can think more Fulham Bournemouth. No idea what Tifo is but provided it fits the new Lane ethos it could be a g
We’re Sheff United, We don’t do singing sections, we don’t do car park sized banners, we don’t have a club band, we don’t have some annoying cunt banging a drum all game, we don’t do the “Poznań,” we don’t bounce like the pigs, we don’t swing scarves around above us heads, we don’t have a fucking bubble machine at the side of the pitch.
Plain and simply…We don’t do gimmicks. UTB!

But that only takes the slightest act of connection.

At Parkhead, it happens on the 67th minute, night matches. A fabulous sight when over 55,000 light
up the stadium in tribute to The Lisbon Lions. That's not forced.

I understand that it's just the 'noise' that creates the atmosphere at Bramall Lane.
I hope that next season there's not a moment when the levels are libraryesque!
My friend, at some point you're going to have to realise that we're not Celtic, for a number of reasons.

Whilst it might be magnificent to see the stuff they get up to at Celtic Park, you can't just take that atmosphere and reproduce it somewhere else.

Is singing the GCB at the start of every half not a gimmick?

Fuck Tifo's, whats wrong with naked ladies running across the pitch around the hour mark!???

Can you imagine, you would have been able to go to half our homes games last season without hearing a single chant!

If only there was some solution that didn't involve any kind of prompt :)

I feel utterly ashamed for not knowing that. Please forgive me ?
Don’t me ashamed mate 😂because I found this that makes the word adopted as macabre.😂😂😂😂delirium being the optimised word

The word tifo is Italian and it actually refers to the typhus fever, which can cause an outbreak of delirium in those who suffer it. Supporters who form a tifo are known as tifosi, which is the Italian word for 'those infected with typhus'.

Well I‘m relieved to hear that

Jesus, thought everyone knew what a Tifo is, but just for you (obviously non footy fan people), let me explain.
Tifo is the word used to describe a colourful, vibrant and usually choreographed visual display by football supporters. It is also a phenomenon in other sports, such as cycling and auto racing.

Displays of a tifo normally occur within stadiums before and during games but can also take place outside a ground.

In many cases the visual displays are carefully planned and often each individual supporter forms part of a mosaic by wearing or holding a particular colour.
Bet you don’t know what a rattle is
