I leave in Exeter and am wondering if any other Blades are travelling to the away fixture from Devon or nearby?

I was also wondering who was planning on staying over on the Saturday night for this match.

It would be good to team up for a few beers.

Tony.

We're having another weekend in Bournemouth for this one :)

Few of us down there for the weekend as well. Staying in the Travelodge on Christchurch Road.

Looks like this will now be a huge game, now I didn't see that coming at the start of the season.
Anyone seen them play recently, a team that's slipped under my radar.

...and to think I thought it was an exclusive place free from riff raff! We've binned off the perfectly fine, but old person fragranced hotel from last time and got the cheap Travelodge rooms.

I'd imagine we'll be starting in the bar we found with a couple of quid entry and mega cheap drinks last year :)

Its yeovil I'm worried about. 9th consecutive win today ffs

I'm worried about any team thats on a run, we need to be a team that gets on a run and 3 wins in a row is a great start.

As for Bournemouth, Brett Pitman is a class act in the third tier, Eddie Howe has galvanised them
since he came back but losing 2-0 away to Preston? Dire result. That said i'd take a draw at theirs next week.

I think the wheels will fall off for Yeovil, but im also glad we dont have to play them again.

I cant predict it at all this year, what a confusing season so far!

I have a sneaky feeling that Swindon will manage to hold off going into admin and be the team to threaten the top two.

Preston could be a late threat for the play offs, having got rid of that tosser Westley they may start to turn things around.

Bournemouth, I guess we'll see on Saturday.

10 wins we will go up in the autos i reckon. If we don't win next week it will still be 10 wins

We beat Bournemouth then Orient will be the biggest game of the season and so on.

Went and bought a ticket for the Bournemouth game after today's match.
I'm feeling strangely optimistic that we can go there and come away with a win. Anyone else off here going?

We'll be in bed by ten, I promise. No noise from us!

Any good pubs in town/around there? I've not been before, so not sure what to expect - what with the place being a renowned place for retirement.

It's a bit of a mixture from what we saw last year... Seems a nice enough place, but as usual, just depends where you go as to what crowd are out.

In terms of price, on the friday night we ended up starting in "The Brasshouse", which is big, mucky, sticky floor and foul toilets strewn with coke remnants kind of place, attracts some of the dregs of society, BUT was drinks from a quid and big enough to create our own section of Blades and play blackjack. I ended up switching to cheap JD and Coke for the duration as I'd had my fill of fizzy piss water :)

We went in a Wethers for food one day, The Mary Shelley, which was just a typical Wetherspoons, not really an ideal layout for a night out though, more for breakfast/food. There's another Wethers (Moon in The Square) further down past the gardens in front of The Brasshouse, which is set up again for food and packed with tables, had breakfast in here Saturday morning, again bumping into more Blades.

There was an apparently decent Irish Bar on the main shopping street (Old Christchurch Road I think), but it was rammed as we passed, so we skipped that one.

Further up the same road, there's a Walkabout, which like most Walkabouts looked full of chavvy wankers, which is about 100yards or so from Wiggle, which I'm reliably informed was an entertaining enough Gentlemans Club.

Continuing up, we had some food and a couple of pints in the Litten Tree, which again was just cheap drinks and food, has a big dance floor and a mixed crowd.

Probably the most entertaining though was Heroes, which is a small Karaoke bar with a number of young locals who thought they could do American or Manc accents (they couldn't) and a few other Blades, which led to the compulsory taking over the place with Blades songs/chants.

On the Saturday morning we also went to the other Wethers, The Christopher Creek on Holdenhurst Road, which was full of Blades by dinnertime, as was the Ladbrokes across the road - not great, but Wethers prices.

I think this year, we'll seek out some better establishments (such as the Goat and Tricycle Hartley Hare posted), possibly the Irish Bar and I'm sure we wandered past another decent real ale place last year too, will try and find it online.

Cheers for all the tips Foxy, might bump into you whilst we're there.

The Goat and Tricycle seems a good shout for some real ale. Had that suggested to me by someone who lives down there. Only problem is it's the opposite way to the ground from the hotel.

I know there's an 02 Academy nearby, so might end up in there last off on the Saturday night. Depends what night they have on.

As long as we don't lose with the other top 6 or 7 teams playing each other this week or on Saturday we'll still be there or there about.
The only worring thing is we moved into 2nd place last season around this time and lost it at the death.

The good thing is if we beat them we still have a game in hand ,so if we beaat them and win the game in hand we could be 5 points a head but then again swindon and doncaster have a game in hand over us, and if doncaster beat crawley on monday they will go 3 pionts ahead of us and if swindon win on tuesday they go 1 piont ahead of us, but they play tranmere on tuesday which will be a hard game for them.

Sorry to be tiresomely repetitive but I have officially and definitively ruled out Tranny and Donny. Forget them. They won't be in contention in April. Forget Yeovil as well. Blades, Bournemouth, Swindon, Brentford. The top four are there. There is a subtle hint as to the order as well. :)

Win this and it sends a messege to everyone else wanting to get promoted. Lose and its not the end of the world. I'd be more concerned if this game were at home to be honest. Still not convinced we are the real deal at BDTBL. Whats more important is the team put a good performance in. I'd be happy with a point but think we are capable on our day of getting all 3.
