Any inkling into what is holding this up mate? Anything to be concerned about?
Everything was on, some legal stuff with contracts and both clubs are trying to iron out the technicalities. A very not straight forward deal with many variables due to a buy back clause which sounds like it was NOT fully agreed after all. And not legal (epl rules) either apparently! Bit of a mess but still looks to be on for all party’s.

OK, not get them relegated but can see players not busting a gut knowing what's available no matter what the outcome.

More realistic, but I still think it would do his career more harm than good, unless of course he only values the money element of his career, and even then any gain would be short lived as he would be unlikely to get a decent move when his Villa contract expires. If on the other hand he puts in a shift here, even in a relegated team he will probably have teams queuing up to buy him.

😂😂😂😂😂

Feels like the sort of thing that's got potential to bring a lot of trouble to our door.
He would essentially be contracted to two clubs at the same time, both playing in the same division.
He wouldn't. Because that would obviously be wrong.

I'm not saying this alleged arrangement is totally cool. But I'm sure both clubs lawyers will be very careful with the wording, particularly Villa's lawyers.

Thinking about this buyback deal with Archer. In short, Villa could be saying to him "Go to BDTBL and get them relegated and we'll get you straight back and give you £20k-£30K a week more". Surely Prem league need to be investigated these deals because they are open to abuse.
Aye
Because Villa are bricking themselves about us.
If so why not refuse to sell him to us (‘sell’ to Luton) - same result no fucking about

Princes legal men seem to be on top of there job so i wouldn't expect any problems with the deal.If we could have got it done in time for city I'm sure we would have done.

Could be wrong but I think I’ve read those ‘insights’ somewhere afore - Is Mrs Left Foot ‘playing away’ - I d keep an eye on her if I were you

That I’m not too sure if I think it’s 12pm the day prior, so like Thursday 12pm for Friday 8pm kick so assume probably Monday 12pm for Tuesday 7:45pm kick off?
Thanks Billy, this is the point I’m trying to make, it’s so fucking complicated it’s untrue. If they made it anytime before the announcement of the team sheet it would take away the mystery surrounding it all. The authorities who make up these rule don’t appear to have a clue.

As far as this weekend is concerned, I don't suppose it matters because short of a miracle, Archer or not, the chances of us winning are pretty miniscule.

Getting him in for Everton is the key because they're a team we should have a decent chance of beating.

You don’t fucking say. This is Bettis and his ace legal team we are talking about.

It is widely reported that the hold up is at the Villa end. I would say that Bettis and co. Have done a good job to provide us with a good option to buy / loan or use one of the best strikers available to us for this season.

A player must be registered by 12 noon on the working day before game to be eligible to play. There is nothing complicated about that. The only thing that complicates it is our fans failing to grasp a very simple point.
I do agree that it’s not difficult to understand, but why in this day and age do we have a situation where a ‘non- working day’ is factored into a work arrangement for a footballer ? When, typically, football is played 7 days a week.

Maybe the admin staff in the FA that process player registrations work normal Mon to Fri jobs
