It's more positive than your lie about being dominated

Just bullshit

You're either a pig a dog nonve forest fan or an idiot
When losing arguments people do tend to go for attacks at the individual rather than the points in question.

40 attempted shots in 2 games but we didn’t get dominated.

I’ll leave you with that.

You're right I was out of order I apologise

So now you are including palaces shots to prove we were dominated last night ?

Apology accepted.

It’s more the general trend that concerns me. I was more responding to a post above about how general trends tend to show more.

16 attempts on our goal isn’t what keeps you up against Forrest.

Arsenal play teams and have 16 attempts against Forrest. City the same 16 against Burnely.

I’m not saying attempted shots is the be all and end all. But these dominant sides usually have a lot of attempts. If you don’t want to use dominate or whatever fine. Let’s drop that.

But you’ll see the teams today who are in total control of games for large parts in good territories will have all attempts and win.

The PL games are today let’s see the math.

They dominated us ???? They were the better team in the first & last 15 mins , other than that we were more than comfortable , a fact acknowledged by ex Forest player Birtles who was commentating .
Turning point of the game was Traore 1 on 1 he puts that away I believe we go onto win .. but at this level you’ve gotta put them away if we’re to have any hope . For a squad asssembled for £200M + they look bang average .just play. high tempo without any real quality other than Awoniyi .. and that’s the kind of forward we need to be looking to bring in

So good blocks from defenders and poor shooting from the 4th worst team in the league is your argument that we didn’t get dominated.

We are a million miles away and no one seems to see it. I hope I’m wrong but right now teams are turning up for large parts against us in 2nd gear and controlling large parts of the game.

16 attempts on goal is good then? In your opinion?

We’re obviously not where we want to be, and we’re obviously coming up short. We’re also obviously not creating enough. Don’t think overall you could say we Forest “dominated” us. Here’s some more stats.

I think it’s fine to say that Forest “shaded” it, and in terms of chances, probably deserved it slightly more than us, but that’s about it.

That’s not to say we shouldn’t be worried, just “dominated” is the wrong word for yesterday.

All our possession was in our our third they were in better areas. But statistically with what your saying the only stat we beat them at was corners.

They beat us on every other metric . Double the shots and nearly triple the Xg.

You can call it whatever you wish.

Comments of a manager trying to convince the masses that he’s still the right man for the job. Under pressure and he knows it.

After buying 1 in 3 professional footballers his tactical genius managed to narrowly beat a newly promoted and severely undercooked team.

Unfortunately we were. Think I saw stats that they had like 16 attempts on goal. I think Palace had 24 attempts. So I will give it that we have improved. But still dominated.
They did have 16 attempts on goal to our 7, but only 4 of their attempts were on goal to our 3. Ball possession was 50% each, and we had 7 corners too their 6.
Figures we can improve on certainly but too say we were away from home as well I would hardly call it domination.

It’s amazing me how everyone isn’t seemingly seeing the obvious.

We have played the 2 poorest sides and been dominated. We are falling short against the lower standard of the league. When we come up against a Newcastle / Villa etc we will be a million miles away.
Dominated last night? Did you switch off after the first 20 mins? The only difference last night was that they could bring on a multi million pound experienced premier league striker whereas we had to make do (and that’s no slight on them) with 2 inexperienced kids. It won the game for them

So your argument is we played well and lost to a poor Forest team is somehow a positive.

Where as me saying we got dominated and lost is somehow a negative?

If this is our good performance then we won’t get a point all season. So for all our sakes you hope I’m right.
I’ve never seen so many excuses or mitigating factors for losing a game of football, whilst down playing the dominance of the winning team despite the facts.
It’s going to be a long old season.

The better team is the one that ends up with more goals, that's how it works. They were better and they won.

I did call it what I want, which was “shaded” it. Forest shaded it. They were overall a little better than us. That’s what I saw with my eyes, that’s what I see in the stats. They had more shots and more chances to score. One big chance each. They just about deserved to win the game.

Excellent. We have slightly different views but it’s all good.

What's this we were dominated bollocks? First 20mins maybe other than that I thought we were the better team, the reason we lost that game is poor defending of routine crosses by Egan. If that chance falls to Traore when he is fresh he scores that, unfortunately at that time our front two had run there bollocks of for over a hour with no replacements on the bench other than Hackford. We were fucked after 75 mins, we bring kids on Forest bring on players who cost millions that was the difference in the last 15mins. Did Wes have to make any difficult saves? Gift free headers in the six yard box and no keeper is going to save them and that is all that Forest produced. We at the least deserved a draw from that game.

No one seems to see that we are a million miles away? Don't think I've seen many people claim that team is of the level required to stay up. I've never been so disappointed with how the squad has been managed in my life.

Either way though, we weren't dominated last night. Even the Scabs admit that.

"We really took the game to try to win it. Of course we were by far the better team, of course we deserved to win, but I really liked the attitude of the team in terms of getting the result late on."

"We played the real football in the game, the real tactical ideas. In the end, we've scored two really good goals,"

You weren't by far the better team, also look at our forward line, you should have smashed us easily. But didn't.

Usually like Steve Cooper but there's a lot of pettiness and needle in those comments.
Presume he has a problem with us / Heckingbottom or something.

A lot of those 16 attempts on goal were from distance and were never troubling the keeper. They were like Rugby conversions. Our players could’ve just randomly shot from anywhere to up the ‘attempt on goal’ stats, it doesn’t mean we’d have dominated anyone

Being the better team and dominating us are two completely different things.

I didn't say dominated and neither did Steve Cooper, so far as I can see.

Apologies, I assumed you were referring to the current on going discussion.

On the topic of “the best team is the one who ends up with more goals”, is this a new opinion? You didn’t seem to feel that way last season when we played poorly but ended up winning.

To be fair he was right. First half they were very dominant. We had a spell where we got it together for 20/25 minutes or so in second half and looked on top. He tweaked it taking an centre half on for a winger and they got the points.

We have played 2 of the poorest teams in the PL so far. We need to do something special / different to turn it around. Think we need to go more direct hitting channels as all the teams seem to struggle with this.
Hitting channels - did you actually watch the whole of the Palace game that was our only tactic due to an inexperienced front two and it didn’t work at all
Forest
They bossed the first 20 we grew into the game and took control for the first 25 of the second half
Unfortunately our tweaking was introducing kids to replace a kid and Souza (massive loss) Toure who was also very good
The last 20 mins it was 8 against eleven (no disrespect to our young uns)
Gibbs White was completely frozen out second half
Perspective against Palace we looked terrible
Friday night we looked ok and very impressive in the middle of the pitch

His amazing team are in for some serious arse poundings this season. Whatever happens to us, I will enjoy watching them struggle as well.

It’s going to be a long old season.
Forest won’t be bottom 4-6 this season
They have more quality in areas we have little but they weren’t that dominant it was an even game ( after the first 15/20) until we lost Souza and Toure we had no options to replace them with other than kids

Always nice to hear the 🐖 point of view

Blades had to D or W this, Forest will be in the mix at the bottom come seasons end, could be telling by then.
Over all they have a reasonable squad but I believe Cooper is the weak
