Not starting a new thread for this but my sphincter is telling me all is not good and my sphincter is as good as any ITKer at the moment.

Worried sphincter
What does your sphincter have to say about RND returning anytime soon? Note your answer may change our recruitment priorities.

I thought both Brewster and RND had injured their hamstrings. I've never known such lengthy recovery times for that type of injury. I thought a tear was normally about 3 months and those two have been out about 8 or 9 months so far.

Not good, not good at all.
Exactly, Douglas Barder got over his injuries quicker than these two. ( And he had two legs amputated).

One’s our most expensive signing the other was our best player last season prior to injury. What’s happening ?

Hamstring damage can be devastating once done properly they are never the same again.

RND was a particular bad one and is the type that can mean you're not the same. Not saying that's whats happened with him but it's concerning for him and us.

Big blow as I thought he'd be one that would step up.

Brewster is sad all round. Feel for the kid because his last two injuries have come just as he was starting to show something. Got to wonder where his career goes from here though if he can't stay fit.

Not placing the blame anywhere but he's obviously been a huge waste of money for a club in our financial position.

Don't you know NHS doctors nurses and physio's have been or are still on strike can't afford to get these lads in Claremont you know 😉

Didn't someone in here seem to think that RND has snapped his achilles tendon, hence the long layoff?

Hecky said Brewster was back in full training last week but nothing more other than he's played down a return soon as we want to take care.

Radio Sheffield have just stopped asking now as Heckingbottom just plays dumb with it.

I remember him towards the end of last season getting quite angry when asked by Radio Sheffield about injury timescales.

He said “he doesn’t know because he doesn’t ask.
Said he doesn’t want to put any pressure or expectation on any player and as far as he’s concerned they are back when they are back. ”

Thought to myself what BS, of course he asks his medical team when his players are due to return.
Hecky has obviously decided to protect the medical staff and players by keeping it all in house.

For example….let’s say Brewster and RND were estimated to be out a max of 6 months
but then they both suffered a setback leading to another 3 months out
Our fans would be rightly demanding answers to who’s responsible for the set backs.
Then imagine just before they are due back both players have yet another set back.
Then our fans are asking about the competency of the conditioning team….and question if we’ll have another Jack O’Connell scenario.
Then instead of thinking there’s a curse at the club we conclude that the conditions/ surface at the training ground might be causing injuries
then do any of the players sue the club for effectively ending their career etc. Probably best to reveal nothing.

Yeah remember it. Annoying. I understand not giving team news away but why this can’t be shared is bizarre.

Unfortunately, it is becoming very clear that Brewster’s body is not up to top level football. The sooner his contract is up, the better, as he is proving a very costly mistake.

I really like Bogle but he is another lad who just cannot stay fit for long enough to make any real inroads.

I am absolutely sure PH will have a weekly meeting with the medical team for updates on all the injuries
Standard practice

At a bigger picture level, in terms of who to pick for the next 1/2/3 games it doesn't matter how long a player is out for, either they are available or not. If not then a general X weeks is fine until they are back in full training.
