I've had various people say to me (non blades) that the two man city lads were our best players last year, and that without them we're shit etc etc. Bigging up McAtee as if he was instrumental all season.

This is your average prem fan. They read shit articles and watch shit YouTubers and base their opinions on nothing they've seen first-hand.

Fact is, they both started 21 games. Mostly later on in the season when we were already established at the top.

Their influence has been massively overrated. We'd take them again, obviously (Even more so after the sales), but with Souza, Slimane, and Hamer, we'll be looking pretty strong in midfield anyways.

it really shows what a good job hecky and mccall do on bringing out the best in players
I still think Ndiaye has dropped a clanger , losing his teacher who brought him into bloom
I think he will tread water at marseille , theyll think for 20m hes a finished article and should produce
but he was on a learning curve, and his main tutors have gone
