Has Hamer ever played a game at attacking mid or off the striker in his career?
Hmmmm….. well that’s really bloody awkward…

In my defence he is tenacious, technical and very skillful so although a different position i would love to sign him. He has lots of goal contributions this season as well.

He definitely has the attributes to play further forward IMO as well. Versatile!

Either way, class act!

I'd try to sell Berge and bring him in.
It would be a shame to lose all of the investment on Berge, at least with Hamer we'd have an asset on the books for another few seasons.

I might be in the minority but i like berge. If i could pick one of the 2 Hamer wins though.

If Palmer, Akpom, Souza and Tillman are legit rumours and they end up coming that would put us in a pretty solid position and still with one of our domestic loans left. It would be ideal if that last loan was Archer is he did shake loose from Villa late in the window.

If we could add a developmental CB maybe that Gilchrist from Chelsea the squad would be in a fairly healthy place.

Isn't Hamers family supposed to be homesick? We don't want another Ndiaye situation on our hands although I'd love us to sign him.

Hamer is a different position but due to his characteristics would be a partial replacement for Ndiaye

Same with Chair, who is also a more direct positional comparison albeit not identical

If we could use Berge to sign one like this that would be preferable to losing him for nothing and, if relegated, zero on pitch benefit

Hamer would be more of a replacement for Doyle and would be perfect for the LCM spot but no way we’ll be splashing £10m or whatever on him.

yeh think he wants to go home to the motherland and Feyenord where reportedly interested at 1 point

Hamer is having a good game v Leicester, he qould definitely improve our midfield...as would Kasey Palmer

Surely he’s on the list! Just what we need for our midfield, he’s a cracking player - too good for the championship!

If we could sell Berge and buy Hamer with the fee I'd do that all day long

It's the only way I could see it being possible because RCM would be his position for us - we'd want to exploit those deep outswinging Norwood style crosses he's so good at

A midfield of Hamer - Souza - OBrien would be a great balance. Bit of everything there and crucially, a lot of work rate and energy

I’d be OK with losing berge to gain a hamer but still leaves us with gaps to recruit for.

Ideally we keep berge though

I’ve liked Hamer since last season. Exactly the kind of player we should be trying to sign. Not sure if he is on our radar and even if he was, whether our fantastic transfer budget will stretch to such dizzy heights of multi millions.

I don't know what Hamer gets up to during a game but last 3 seasons games and cards:
G 41 Y 15
G 44 Y 9 R 1
G 45 Y 8 R 2

Good player but imagine him under the scrutiny of VAR! The fourth official would have a field day snitching on him the like hasn't been seen in football since...our game with Wrexham.

GUSTAVO HAMER: 8.5
Tackled, won the ball back and sent in decent set-piece deliveries in a busy and eye-catching display from City’s star man who was all over the pitch, helping to defend one minute and on the attack the next. Sent in the corner for Fadz to score.

Sounds like Osbourne but with an end product
