I personally really dislike the block black paintwork! It's oppressive and I can't help but feel that they have failed in attempts to polish up a dated concrete structure.

I know thay cost it the main factor, but I feel that other steps could have been taken to modernise the exterior of the south stand.

I think it all fits in with the ‘Forged in Steel’ maxim. Bramall Lane is now like a monolithic steelworks, brooding on the skyline and intimidating for visiting teams and fans. Short of rebuilding the entire place, I think this looks good. What ‘other steps’ would you take?

I would have tried to modernise it a bit perhaps with some sort of steel cladding at the top. Perhaps even given it a cantilevered shape to it, something a little more shaped....

I would have thought stainless steel, or something along those lines would have been more fitting.
