Don’t be ridiculous, as befits S2 royalty, Bert dines on nothing more downmarket than foie gras and Beluga caviar.Has Bert ever happened upon a slice of humble pie?![]()
Humble game pie for his Bertship?Don’t be ridiculous, as befits S2 royalty, Bert dines on nothing more downmarket than foie gras and Beluga caviar.
Yes its strange .We all know he is coming to the end of a fabulous career and maybe he is not as quick as he used to be but he has given us some great memories to look back on. Also he played a big part getting us in the prem right from the pub league. Yes some on here have very short memories and to slag him off is bordering on being disrespectful to a club legend . Yes strange .How the fuck can anybody despise Billy?
One of the best to ever wear the shirt as far as I'm concerned. The fact he loves the club makes it even sweeter.Yes its strange .We all know he is coming to the end of a fabulous career and maybe he is not as quick as he used to be but he has given us some great memories to look back on. That finish was typical Sharp- finds a yard of space and finishes. Superb. However, his influence during a game is reducing. You can see he is trying to adapt by coming deeper and trying to link play but he has lost that half a yard of pace .He was poor before the goal, but then that’s what Billy is all about. He only needs that one chance as he’s so clinical. An excellent finish too!
I’d be tempted to get another in anyway. Brewster hasn’t shown anything yet and seems very injury prone, so even if he is back, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he’s out again by the end of the season. That finish was typical Sharp- finds a yard of space and finishes. Great as a back up, but, if Brewster is out for the season, I think we will need another striker who can go beyond an opposition defence in the JTW
I would agree with that .Billy has been great for us and to slag him off is disgraceful ,he is a Blades hero, but time waits for no man and may be he might slide down the pecking order but he is more than capable of a fill in role for us. After all he has earned us our last 6 points by his finishing . He might not be able to fly around the pitch like a 20 year old but stick him in the penalty area and as he has shown in the last 2 matches he is just the same guy as before when it comes down to finishing. That finish was typical Sharp- finds a yard of space and finishes. “Despise and slag off” are quite far removed from debating whether Billy is still good enough for the team. He is a club legend and will be regarded as such for many years to comeCertainly looks that way. There's plenty on here who have done little else but slag him off since 2015.
I think he’s deserved a little bit of stick this season, he’s had enough praise over the years. This season he’s looked way off it until the last couple of games so he needs to build on that.“Despise and slag off” are quite far removed from debating whether Billy is still good enough for the team. I'd be very surprised if he was retained if we went up. Like you say, he was out of his depth the last time.I think he’s deserved a little bit of stick this season, he’s had enough praise over the years. This season he’s looked way off it until the last couple of games so he needs to build on that.
He was out of his depth in the Prem, but most of them were. Every other season he’s been our go-to guy & someone I’ve worried about ‘what happens once he retires’.
If we go up I presume he’ll carry on within our squad, but we can’t be relying on him to be our second choice striker still.
I just think they would because we’re quite a sentimental club when it comes to club legendsI'd be very surprised if he was retained if we went up. Like you say, he was out of his depth the last time.
Amy like no to see what he saidHe's gonna get in trouble for that...although he was spot on
It was but Billy said summatAny clips of this yet?
I turned off as I assumed it would be a Wrexham/Reynolds circle jerk
He was honest. He basically said that he was unhappy that the Wrexham players were disrespectful talking this week as though it was a given they would be meeting Spurs in next round. Said it wasn't on to do that and he hadn't liked hearing it. Not really controversial more like plain speaking. Good on him.It was but Billy said summat
