Assuming we can only play one of them (which of course isn't a given), which one should start? Couple of games ago I would have said Doyle for sure but the lad McAtee seems to be growing into the role nicely. UTB

Depends on the game plan, McAtee more of an attacking threat but Doyle more solid. A combination of the two seems to be working ok at the moment

Totally agree, McAtee is great when we are playing well and on the front foot but can't tackle or win a ball in the air.
So think that at the moment Hecky has got it right, bring Doyle on when we need a bit more aggression and to protect the back three.
McAtee is starting to show us exactly what City fans said he was capable of.

What has either of them done to be £15 million players?

Nothing

And if we buy them, no clauses, they are ours.

If we turn them into good players, that's our doing not City's

Has there been absolute 100% clarification on whether they can play in the semi or not?

No Doyle no McAtee FA rules
one or the other EPL rules
Both EFL rules
No wonder the top 6 are always there they don't have to abide by three sets of rules
But we have abide by them all

This is part of the problem with sheff utd fans
15 m at premier league level buys you an untried youngster or a gamble
This is why our 20 m signings get so much shit they are expected to perform like world class talent

To be a £15 million player you have to have at least performed at men's level. They have both had a reasonable season at Championship level, and reasonable is the word, neither have been so far in advance of other top level Championship players that we could see a massive difference that makes them worth so much more.

I don't know why the Premier League level is relevant because neither of them are Premier League players or ever likely to be if they stay with City.

Like I said your criteria is about a decade behind reality
