GodricBlade is also on my Special Mentions list for being the only other Forum Member to show up for the Great Blades Blokes' Walk For Better Mental Health.
Ah yes - I remember the GBBWFBMH well & a very pleasant stroll it was too.
As far as acronyms go though, firmly in the ‘could do better’ category.
Maybe the the next walk could be a pub crawl to catch up with the various beer based bromances blossoming as a result of this thread.

I'm advised by acquaintances who have friends who know people who use the app mentioned above that Grindr is intended for use by like-minded chaps.
Do said "acquaintances" walk with a slight limp??

Probably get on alright in person 🤷‍♂️ The Internet is a cruel place sometimes. I actually think your both good posters.

We may even have friends in common.
Maybe we would get on. I have loads of friends who dont share the same view as me on football, cricket, politics and other things.

Just don't try to keep up with the Fox's, if they get invited.............

I'm a cheap date these days. Lockdown and being pregnant with Small2 meant I went into temporary drinking retirement and I find I now no longer have the capacity to keep up.

Four pints and done now.

I've amended my post seeing as singaporeblade is accusing me of necrophilia.

Silentblade, HodgysBrokenThumb and AncientBlade to sit around like a set of old duffers, swapping stories about the 'good old days'. Reckon we may already be on vague recognition nodding terms when as file out of the back of the Kop to go for a much needed piss at half-time.
KnowsNowt as I like his deadpan off the wall perspective on life. Where is he these days?
And Pommpey as I would love to know if he can carry a verbal conversation with the same sparkling prose (sort of Oscar Wilde meets Les Dawson) as he writes 'My Take' threads. They're always the first thing I read after a match. How's that for blowing smoke up your arse?

I used to see Klaatu Barada Nikto all the time until he left London (and stopped playing int nets for us at 5 a side). Bert too as Bert Jr was part of the same team.

Can confirm SwissBlade is a fine chap of immense wealth, whilst Hartley Hare is also a man of considerable and deserved repute. Blackheath Blade was part of the London Blades back int day, run by WalthamstowBlade before he moved abroad, so have met them as well, along with Radio Blade who I still see at Millwall every year at the very least.

Saw Greenwich Blade on Tuesday and he got the train back with us. Still hasn’t signed my copy of his book…

FallowfieldBlade sounds like a laugh, sitwell seems well thought of and Silent Blade would be a worthy pint I’m sure.

I’m off to Twats the Lot of Them now, because if there’s one thing I hate, it’s name droppers.

I give in.

Who are you?

Like all old duffers, I am glad not have been ignored. And to confirm the stereotype of old duffer, I would just like a grumble about being stereotyped as an old duffer: much as I enjoyed football in the good old days ( mainly because I was young), I have said many times in debates on here that the most enjoyable period of being a Blade in my lifetime has been the Wilder years up to the beginning of lockdown. That could be the topic for discussion in the imaginary booze-up🤣
