When we lost the ball in their area

Brooks wasn't very good against Spurs so no surprise he wasn't involved.
He did ok but certainly not screaming out to be involved in a Promotion Chasing Championship side just yet.
Guess that's where we'll have to agree to disagree. Thought he was very good.

He was certainly raw but he showed more than enough to be a threat from the bench.

Many players are done here and we've got a major rebuilding job on whatever league we're in, and that league is going to be the championship

Putting together anything seriously competitive will be a gargantuan challenge, we'll fail and struggle in the championship and L1 for another decade

It was a really good decision not to just avoid the embargo/sell berge and bring in a couple in January. Hard to calculate just what that'll cost us

Not for me he didn't if anything I was disappointed with his work rate, he was a bit like a rabbit caught in the headlights.
He certainly didn't do enough to be included in the team against Blackburn.
I'm not writing him off by any means I thought the same when first saw Calvert Lewin at Doncaster just don't think he's ready yet for Championship football.

I thought he brought an energy and enthusiasm which was sadly lacking on Saturday.

In terms of involvement, maybe it's recency bias but if I look down the bench, I'd rather see Brooks and Jebbison as potentials than Sharp, two fullbacks and a centre back...

We had Doyle and McAtee on the bench on Saturday both far better options than Brooks. Most teams would have a centre back on the bench, Possibly we could have gone with one fullback in Osborn who can cover a variety of positions but most fans rate Baldock and see him as vital part of our side. Sharp is a tough one and I can see the argument for Jebbison and I was surprised he was missing from the bench which didn't have alot of attacking options on it.

They broke away and John Egan stood and watched.
Only when they were into our half did he bust a gut to try and get back, and obviously it was waaaayy too late.
Rant not over. Rant nowhere near f******g over.
Every week on a Sunday morning you can hear, 'GO WITH THE RUNNERS'
Us? Professionally, well-trained footballers? We don't do that.
We leave players in so much space it's criminal.
Add to that the pathetic way we mostly lump it away, lump it out of play, tit about and lose possession or run it out of play, and we can be awful to watch.
We have very little composure and what looks good when we play one touch pass and move and it comes off, but that's far too rarely the case, and when it breaks down, we look sooo vulnerable.
Yes, I think we'll still go up, but man do we need to make some changes.
It's easy to fall into the trap of seeing a decent performance by an individual or team effort and think it's an off day when they don't perform.
The reality is that recently, non-performances are the norm, and it's more that there are 'on days' from time to time.
We're going to limp over the line if we're lucky, and if we do manage it, we need to make some serious changes.
Just from those playing today:

Wes - Sorry, we'll need better when it comes to facing Premier League team's attackers.
Osborn - Insufficient skill. can't take a man on.
Egan - Too slow and error prone. Still can't head a ball on target.
Bash - Lost it and it ain't coming back, certainly not at levels needed for the Prem.
Robinson - I'd keep
Bogle - Will probably struggle too much against top players.
Lowe - Will struggle even more against top players
Fleck - It's over.
Norwood - Way too inconsistent and lacking in pace, wants to stand and pass when not under pressure rather than push forward at pace.
Berge - Flatters to deceive. Not strong enough mentally or physically. Too predictable.
Billy - Breaks my heart to say no.

This isn't a gut reaction to a disappointing display.
Blackburn were poor today. I think they gave the ball away almost as much as we do, but we didn't have enough, and certainly won't for next season without some serious investment.
Just about sums it up pal👍

Judging by his Spurs performance, Anel is a much better Anchorman at the back for us than big John
Maguires faster than Egan, runs like a T rex ,can't get a header on target no where near premiere class should have had Wet spams pants down if rumours were true, but had to keep as no dosh for replacement

The rumours weren't true though, if they were he'd have gone.
