Crowd

I was just about to start a new topic and then saw this pop up.

I thought the atmosphere today was great. So much better. We sit in the corner and there was noise all around the ground throughout the game. To say it wasn’t a thriller I thought the crowd were great and people responded to the last game or two.

Before during, and especially after the final whistle when the players came round to a roar on all sides.

That’s more like it.

Young children aren't going to burst into song, & neither are the parents/grand parents who are looking after them! Be realistic ffs, itscalled the family stand for a reason
Ancient Blade said there was more noise coming from John Street than the kop. There clearly wasn't. (FFS).

We were back of the kop and it seemed pretty decent to be fair. Couldn't really hear the south stand but could here that the ground was generally noisy.

Thought there fans were quiet and we were a bit louder.

Sitting on the SS, the Kop sounded particularly quiet. Not selling tickets there is definitely contributing.

got to be honest I thought the Kop was excellent today but I never heard a sound from G&H in the South Stand ( and certainly not a peep out of John Street). Proves it depends where you sit as to what you hear. UTB
Who's the acoustics expert on the forum again? There's someone, as talked about this before for future ground improvements.

Doesn't matter who was singing where. Only thing that's important is that you could even hear it though SUTV's quilt wrapped, Tandy mics, so it must have been loud. Well done to all. 👍🏻
Just. Hard to hear anything over the commentary team turned up past 11.

What if it was just Gage?

BLUT gangway D was poor. A few of us tried to take our cue from Kop and South Stand but too many around us just not interested. Need a rocket up their arse to get any noise out of them.😆

Because most are tourists....they stand in a queue to ask the stewards directions to their seats.

first time in john st karaoke as my grandson was selected for flag waving duties before kick off we were right in corner next to watford fans and lots of good natured banter between us and then but believe me kop was very very quiet from where we were sat g and h in tc were singing nearly all second half but definetly not enough support from the kop today or for the last few games possibly me being an oldie and just remembering when the shoreham kop was rocking

I agree AB. As I said earlier, the kop can, and must, do a lot better. Plenty of noise from the back, but where I sit right in the middle, it's very quiet.
For me, definitely an oldie, the modern football experience has become too sanitized. The passion seems to have gone.

Anyone know how many tickets spurs have sold. Looks like our sales have done better than I thought considering it'll be on telly. Hopefully the crowd can lift the players as they'll need it.

I sit in the family stand for family reasons but I often wonder if there needs to be an entire grandstand for people who are or have children
When first built, it was only kop side of JSS that was designated as a family area. Don't know when it was fully allocated as family, bit in the late 90s it was quite fun towards the away end in there.

Were on the South, and we had a decent old sing along yesterday, but there are loads round us that just sit silent, like they're embarrassed to join in?!?
The row infront of us never make a sound, dont even seem to celebrate when we score, just a gentle clap now and again.
Suppose were all just different.

Exactly this, only heard a smattering of noise from G&H on South stand but kop was alot better yesterday as for John Street well.

spot on bb three quarters of our fans just sit there silent know the team havent been performing that well of late but its not good enough hate to say it but if pigs were in our position the sty would be rocking know the bouncing is over the top but at least their getting behind their team vocally and creating atmosphere just dont know whats happened to our fans

This really annoys me! The actual coverage is brilliant, but the sound really kills the game to the point I normally watch on the oppositions channel
