Good solid performance, crucial after the Rotherham game, and with Boro winning, 3 points and a good showing from the lads. If that lead had become 7 and then 4 after Wednesday, then we’d really be under pressure. We can go into the Boro game feeling more comfortable and apply our own game without as much pressure, a win or a draw and I think that’s it, a loss isn’t the end of the world either if we put In a good showing.

Lot’s of fans have been critical of recent performances, and rightly so as we haven’t been firing, but that performance deserves credit.

Well done boys, being on Boro! Win that and I can’t see anyone catching us.

I agree. Win Wednesday and the champers will be out for me. Even a draw looks a long way back for them to catch us

We can take a win or a draw on wednesday just need to maintain the lead. But we will go for the win with the reality we can sit back and break or push forward

Still got game in hand over Middlesbrough as well, against Millwall I think.

Six-pointer against Boro in midweek. Win and we move 13 points clear Draw we will still be 10 points in front. I think we can beat most teams at home. against playoff-chasing clubs. included. keep picking up points away from home we will get to where we all want to be.

They need to win and if they come and have a go it will suit us
If mcburnie is fit the team and bench are the strongest for a long time with good options Inc jebbo fleck and coulibaly

IMO WBA losing last night and us winning today rules them out. As said above Luton dropping 2 points and with them to come to us makes it very hard for them. Basically I'd say only Boro can catch us and if we win on middle of the week day even as a huge glass half empty Blade based on a lifetime of let downs even I'd say we are there. Biggest game of the season and hopefully yielding the keys to the kingdom and the pot of gold.

I'm sure they are looking at it as an opportunity to close that gap.

I'd far rather have played both games against our chasers - once that is the case they have no control over our fate.

With respect to Luton if we lose at home to them we need to question our credentials.
re our chasers I don't think we have any bar Boro. And if we maintain or better the performance levels of today I can't see us losing to them and 10 points plus a game at Reading in hand with15 games to go would take some clawing back.

I've said it elsewhere, but until 7 wins from the last 9 isn't enough for our chasers I'm biding my time.

Twice in the last 20 years we've been caught in that manner (and in both cases were in the driving seat with 2 games to go), no desire to see it again.

10 of our next 11 are against sides with hopes of going up ( and a fa cup tie v spurs squeezed in midweek) we aren't going to win all of them. It's about keeping our nerve in this spell. If we can get to Easter and still have this gap I'd be delighted.

Kind of wishing we didn't have a cup distraction.

Just hope to god we get through injury free

Right now blader id settle for a draw on Wed nite keeping the 10 point gap and a game in hand.
If we win party time !!!

Must win for me, and that should, just about, and failing a catastrophic collapse, do it, then I will start to believe.

As I've said elsewhere there's only a 8 point gap between Watford in 6th and Reading in 18th. If Boro think they can close a 10 point gap, Reading and everyone above them must think they can close a smaller gap.

So basically only 3 of our remaining games (Cardiff Huddersfield and Wigan) are not against teams with a chance of going up :-)
