The best thing about Ndiaye is his desire & effort - the lad never gives up - if we could only instill that attitude into some of our other players ...

Agree his effort is first class however he was often physically weak. This season his body strength on the ball has massively improved.
The other aspect I like the most about N'Diaye is his usage of the ball and comfort when dribbling past players.

He has good footballing principles that are massively important when playing at PL or international level.
1st: Get the ball under control
2nd: Make sure you have some space...if there's little space then dribble past a player or 2 to make some space
3rd: Try to make a pass to feet...if there's no one to pass to....then dribble past a player or 2 to create a dangerous situation.

It’s a rarity you find a player with the flair, vision, balance and pace combined with a tenacious work rate at the age of 22 or any age for that matter. Some of the control and ways he got out of seemingly impossible positions yesterday to break lines was immense, if that’s messi we’d be seeing loops of that all over tv.

Comparatively at the same age Jack Grealish (£100m) made 31 appearances, scoring 5 goals and 1 assist. In fact illman has already contributed more in a season and a half than grealish did in the three seasons he played in the championship with villa before promotion. Pay what needs to be paid to keep him, he could be worth a hell of a lot more.

He's a good lad and it's nice to see he is committed to the cause. Same with Berge, they both would have seen their wages go up if they had pushed for a move yesterday.

Make no bones about it if the right club comes calling in the summer he will want to move on, but I would say the "right" club.
He is quite settled here at present but footballers don't usually stick around for long periods of time do they? Especially when their stock is high.

If we get promotion I really wouldn't discount him signing a new deal though, as said just depends on who might sniff around come the summer.
If Marseille or decent or top French club come calling I would think he would find that hard to pass up.

Amongst Prem clubs probably any that are not odds on to be relegated could be potential options too if the price is right of course, your top 6 or 7 teams, Newcastle, Villa etc. After this, he might well fancy a stay for at least 6 months to a season and re-assess after a season in Prem.

I imagine the promotion bonus is a hefty one for these players. Probably worth more than 6 months premiership wages…

Did we buy Ndiaye? I thought He was out of contract at boreham wood?

No we didn’t buy him as he had left Boreham but whoever picked him up would have had to pay a youth development fee to them I’d expect.

Cheers, that is my understanding although doubtful about the youth development fee as he had not been there long.
thank god we got him signed up

"What bonuses will your client be getting upon promotion?"
"They will be getting a £1m promotion fee"
"Great, how about we add £1m to the signing-on fee?"

He signed for their academy initially, couple of years in it as a scholar and then got a pro deal when old enough, when that was up he then refused to sign a new contract and left the club. Pretty sure they’d get a youth development fee from whoever picked him up. But I am basing this purely on if one of our promising 19 year olds left the club after refusing a new deal, we most certainly would get a youth development fee from whoever he signed for.
