Wrexham is probably one of the easiest sides in Wales to get to in car, Snakes pass - m56 - a55 easy peasy

Count me in, I'll be going whatever the stupid time kick off they give us

Unless I am reading it wrongly the fa website says we are not televised . Anyone agree ?
Edit ignore I have misread. Sorry

According to the fixtures page on the club site, we are playing Wrexham at 3pm on Sat 28th

You're not necessarily reading anything wrong.

But every FA Cup game is televised. You need to know where to look and I'm not going to write firestick many more bloody times

Finished 1-1. 3 points off top with 2 games in hand. NC have lost one all season, Wrexham, 2.

One of those for the title. I want Wrexham to do it as I think the owners have really took into it, McElhenney is almost fluent in Welsh now, that's as serious as you can get!! But then again I think it'd be funny if they didn't.

Long term I'd like to see how committed the owners are. The football league means higher wages to pay, transfer fees etc. Reynolds has the money in absolute buckets, but whether he commits to it more is another question.

Chesterfield have 4 games in hand. Win all those and they go a point behind NC. So don't discount them just yet.
They're making £400k per episode from Disney apparently so it's washing it's own face so to speak.

I think they'd said annual turnover was either a million or two per year. Its not costing them a bean.

They'll be getting similar money from TikTok (Main sponsor) and Reynolds is whoring Aviation Gin to anyone who will look.

Good business acumen, raising there's and the clubs profile and probably turning a tidy profit. The US and Canada markets are huge, if they tap into a % of that audience they could become a global sized brand.

Manchester United v Reading one of the selections on ITV4 at 8 pm on Saturday. Apparently a better choice than Walsall v Leicester or Boreham Wood v Leeds/Cardiff
My god. As many will say "it's for the sponsors" or "it gets more viewers" (why these people never ever make an argument against anything baffles me). But come on, people wanna see Boreham Wood maybe cause an upset, players running blood to water. Lowest ranked club left should probably be first pick. Not Man U reserves strolling about. And why am I not surprised its ITV?

i really wonder what hold they have over the tv companies because as i said before this is now of their previous 80 fa cup matches. reading will be their 79th on tv. i would say nobody wants to. but there must be a reason. as id rather see Boreham Wood/Accrington v Leeds/Cardiff

personally gutted its sunday. as i wouldnt be able to go. & really wanted to because it for me is the tie of the road

not many chances to toot my own horn. but 5/5 for me on Monday

my guess for the tv games as they took 6 but assuming it will be 5 with only 16 games to choose
Preston V Tottenham
Man Utd V Reading
Man City V Arsenal
Derby V West Ham
either Boreham Wood/Accrington V Leeds (if they win) if Cardiff win, Wrexham V Sheffield United

Some posters will tell you it's because of the advertising they'll get by sticking Man U on. More Man U fans, more viewers, more exposure etc etc.

I'll tell you it's because they're fuckin boring and don't really understand what people want to see. Like I say, as soon as ITV or the BBC get wind of a PL team they take it. Do they not think we see enough of Man U as it is? And wouldn't Boreham Wood/Accrington need the money more than Man U? The FA Cup was always brilliant because of giant killings. Let's get the lower ranked sides on as main fixtures.

Itv needs viewers for advertisers. I don't understand how people fail to see this.

Wrexham v Sheffield United isn't a huge tie for anyone not a fan of those two sides so I am pleasantly surprised we have the main Sunday kick off time but that's because the BBC are able to not worry too much about how many watch a specific game and can invest more in the romance of the cup

but how many are watching man utd. is the question & i might be biased but i think we are the tie of the round that everyone wants to watch

Lineker and shearer just want to be associated with Hollywood, the BBC want to jump on the Wrexham bandwagon, and it works in our favour. I hope we pump them 10-0 Infront of all the cameras, and then they can go on and win the league.

It isn’t as simple as that though. It may be the most anticipated match of the round, but if it’s 2-0 to us after 20 minutes, a lot of people will switch off as they’ll perceive the upset to be off and who wants to watch Wrexham or Sheff United? If it’s 2-0 in the Man U game after 20 mins, there’s a greater chance of people continuing to watch

Therefore it’s a better marketable game to advertisers

Disagree with this. If Man U are 2 up after 20 mins that's it, game over. No way back. Man U fans and reading fans will watch it. That's it.

Wrexham would go for it and will have far more chance of making a comeback. Its far more appealing.

OK. Me and ITV disagree with you 😉

A lot of people watch Man U games every week on subscription tv, no matter the score or opposition.

It isn’t just about result probability, it’s about quality of entertainment too. Man U have individual players that people would tune it to watch, and stay tuned in to maybe see Rashford come on for the last 15

Unless you're a Man United fan, and there's a fucking lot of them. I wouldn't give a shit about something like Notts County vs Watford, even if County had their own mini series on some random channel I never watch, and your average bloke in the pub wouldn't either, unless they are an exact fan of either club in question.

Exactly. And if I stumbled upon it, I would certainly be turning off if Watford go 2-0 up.

Bit surprised this game has been given the Prestige 4:30pm “Super Sunday” slot. Was expecting it on ITV 4 on Friday or Saturday evening

but surely all football fans watch for an upset or clash between big teams wheres the romance of the cup. if it was at the Majejski id have no problem but where is the shock in this. excluding Middlesborough last season because that was more down to a global pandemic, in any other year, that wouldve gone to a replay & not penalties. you have to go back to Leeds in jan 2010 the last time man utd lost at old trafford to a side outside of premier league. as they have played 10 games & won 9, drawn 1

Boreham wood or Accrington V leeds is far more about the FA cup than a walkover. in the same it was man city, liverpool, chelsea, or arsenal at home to a championship side

Upset? They've picked the only non-league team guaranteed to get through. They've also picked two Championship against massive PL clubs and a L1 team against another PL club. Clash between big teams? They've picked first vs second in the league. Not really sure what the issue is here?

League one side against a struggling Premier League side with a manager under pressure. Or Man U v Reading?
