Reading between the lines since he joined, he seems to have not trained well and not entirely sold himself to staff or players. Not exactly shown that much in his limited chances. I make it 4 starts and 12 substitute appearances. I think those have been more miss than hit and I don't think he seems to follow instructions from the amount of shouting from the side.

I said at the time he was a rather puzzling signing (I was wrong about McAtee) and I suspect our success hasn't helped. I suspect if we'd been getting worse results, he'd have featured more as we'd have changed our formation in matches.

Plays like he's not arsed. Made one memorable run towards the byline and then couldn't cross the ball.

Real shame because he was excellent playing against us

If we were paying the 'big chunk' of his wages that was reported surely we can bring someone in. Even if that's anoth McAtee type with huge promise but no first team football experience

Not a huge surprise really, he doesn't suit our style or system at all and in the moments he did play he rarely looked particularly good or threatening bar the odd cameo. Hopefully we replace him with an attacker who fits in with how we play better.

That said, who knows how important his last minute winner against Swansea could turn out to be come the end of the season.

Probably he’s not done enough to earn a start but I also feel abit for him.

Heckys never really been able to give him a run in the side. Other than like a start at left back and a couple of 7 minute cameos. So can get the frustration from his side too.

Shame it’s not worked out. Still the last minute winner at Swansea could be valuable in the long run.

Hope we can use the freed up wages to bring someone else in.

If we'd treated Doyle and McAtee EXACTLY the same as we treated a young German kid in a strange city Pep would have castrated Heckinbotham. He clearly knew how much talent Khadra had or wouldn't have gone to some trouble to get him. On the limited occaisions I've seen him at Blackburn or here he seems like an Iliman type maybe minus the defending. His limited appearences included as many in alien positions than one familliar to him. His goal at Swansea was a belter, mainly for his supporting and intelligent lung bursting run supporting Brewster. Feel sorry for him. A waste of half a season. Will be interested to see what happens next for him.

GLTTL. Shame it didn't work out but it happens. Probably not helped by the limited game time he was being afforded, but Hecky clearly didn't fancy him for whatever reason. Telling when he wasn't evening making the bench for Blackpool or QPR when he was supposedly fit.

I'd really like to think that this might free up some wages to bring another forward in on loan or a freebie on a temporary contract for the remainder of the campaign. But in the same breath, I wouldn't be shocked if we stuck with what we've got either.

Hopefully we've got enough with the current squad, but like in our last 2 promotion seasons, we've signed someone to give us a bit of a boost going into the business end. If we don't and we lose N'diaye and/or Sharp through injury, we've no experienced forward. No McBurnie for the foreseeable apparently and Brewster crocked long term. Jebbo showed a flash of what he can do against QPR, but I can't see (nor would I expect) him to produce that for 65/70 minutes twice a week. Really haven't seen enough of Osula at all to pass any kind of judgment.

I hope it works out for him. Seemed a nice lad and could tell he was doing his best, it just wasn’t working with us.

Perhaps his new team can work their magic and say abra-Khadra and things will go his way.

I was going to give you a like until I read that second line :)

this would be a shame, we all expected & hoped that we would see the khadra that ripped us apart playing for Blackburn. but he's been nowhere near that level for us

Feel for him tbh as he really wasn’t given a good go of it, played full back, a few short sub cameos not to mention the time he was stuck up top and was expected to hold it up and lay it off like an old fashioned number 9 when his game is out wide where he can run at defenders, he did this and looked dangerous on the very odd occasion he had a few minutes in this role. Good luck to him I’m sure he will tear it up for whoever plays him in his right position, sad that it wasn’t us but that’s not how we play with our formation.

Begs the question why we went to lengths to get him. Wonder if management forgot what system we played.

I wrote it on the vital site two days ago that he would go to Birmingham and then muller us on the last day of the season and prevent us from going up

How's that for knowing in advance what will conspire against United ?

Thanks for everything Reda those 2 points against Swansea could be worth a lot more come may

It’s a shame that he had a manager who would rather play small Ben instead of him and play him at wing back

Probably a decent player in there or better

Get a striker in heckyyyyyy lad

Actually thought the total opposite.
He played like he was under pressure to impress, so he would sprint around like a mad man.
His effort was very impressive and he deserves credit for trying hard
It was his decision making that let him down. He played at 100mph and you sensed his brain was also spinning around at 100mph
Also it often seemed as though he didn't know his role, as though he was playing out position but maybe that is down to the manager.

It was a weird loan overall because from the outside looking in, he was never given a chance,
mainly played as sub and then only for the last 5 minutes, no wonder he played like he was under pressure to impress whenever he came on.

It was a weird transfer overall because from the outside looking in, he was never given a proper chance,
mainly played as sub and then only for the last 5 minutes, no wonder he played like he was under pressure to impress whenever he came on.
I do think he should have been given a chance down the middle to run at centre halves
