Pukki is asked several questions about "best" players he's come up against in the Championship.
Sheffield United players feature the most, in his answers.

People suggesting he's eyeing up a move to Sheffield United - do you think we'd match his wages?
We could do a lot worse

we need a striker, wouldnt hurt to ask & am i right in thinking in this article. pukki only has 6 months left on his norwich contract

Doubt we'd get him now, but as a striker collection, he wouldn't be the worst addition on a free at all. He has 11 league goals in each of their last two Premier League campaigns. McBurnie, Ndiaye, Pukki, Brewster, Sharp and Jebbo wouldn't be unrealistic depending on cash being tight. Obviously you'd swap some of those out if more money was available.

But he's the sort of signing that some might not consider but could actually be a bargain.

Given Norwich sacked Smith for results when 5th, they quite rightly see themselves as promotion contenders so doubt they would want to strengthen one of their rivals by selling them possibly their best player?
Would maybe prefer to let him go on a free in the summer and hope they get promoted

But would be a great asset

From the lads above I would move sharp to coaching or let him have a year in L1 if he wants to continue playing, and see if we can get Brewster out, feel for the lad but it’s just not worked for him

Sorry mate. To be clear, I'm referring to signing him as an option end of the season if we went up (and Norwich didn't), on a free, when his contract is up.

He's basically offered up a 'come and get me' with these comments. It wouldn't be too much of a leap to say "you like these players? Come and play with them!"

Not a consideration for this window.

pukki would be a fantastic signing if we went up watched him closely at the lane in the 2 - 2 draw great movement and a very clever striker gave egan a torrid time in the first half and to be brutally honest if we do go up without going the forest route were probably gonna need at least 8 players to come in this summer possibly even more

Always rated Pukki but he's 33 in March. If we go up, and Norwich don't, and his contract expires, and his wages aren't extortionate, and he will sign on a 1 or 2 year deal, and Billy stops playing (as I expect he will), then yes I could see him doing Billy's job for us for a bit. But that shouldn't detract from our need to get another first team striker in.

If we went up, on a free, I'd take him on a 1-year-deal with an option. Direct replacement for Sharp in the squad.

Wouldnt want him to be starting every week at that level.

think we will need 2 new strikers to come in if we get promoted

Should have signed him when we went up instead of McBurnie.

Agree but a newly promoted club would never sell their goalscorer unless already established PL clubs were the ones interested thus feeling they didn't have much of a choice in the matter, Norwich went up the same season we did so we'd have had no chance of them selling to us.

Unless he was scoring regularly

Didn't realise he only has 6mnths left on his current contract.....

We won't be spending any money so to get him would mean losing an asset. Won't happen.

Aw shit. I forgot they did. Bah! Maybe I meant to say we should have bought him when they got relegated the season after?

I know he's 32 but he's the kind of player I've love to sign. Would imagine he's got another 2/3 years in him as well since he never really relied on blistering pace
