I've just been idly checking the table to see where Rotherham and Cardiff are and there recent results, injuries etc.

I then jumped to December and January fixtures. I might be getting excited, but I can't see anything to fear.

Get Lowe, RND, berge et al fit and firing and we're looking very pretty I reckon?

Adopts manager persona We're fully focussed on Rotherham at this moment in time.

Maybe and hopefully so but it just depends on whether we can keep the rest of the squad fit and injury free.

Maintaining this form is also key.

Without wanting to dampen enthusiasm, before the last international break I recall people making similar observations about the forthcoming games against Birmingham, Blackpool, QPR, Stoke and Coventry and we know how that transpired. Get our players back and we have a great chance, but we need to be on it and cut out the inconsistency and silly defensive errors.

Let's just keep our feet on the floor mate, having been watching the blades for over 55 years, if there's a way to fuck it up we always find it. Yes I know it sounds negative but I've seen it all, one step at a time and fingers crossed 🤞

Who would have thought we would have taken maximum points from our last 3?
Let's not get carried away after Saturday, the performance level was superb, but the match previous we were absolutely awful.
The international break knocked the stuffing out of us last time, we came back looking like a side that hadn't played together before, so with the world Cup starting next week, I'm airing on the side of caution upon our return.
Still, alls good in the hood.
Utb.

Let's take it one game at a time.

However, objectively speaking we have had a tough run so it's promising that only 2 of the next 10 games are against a top half team, and only 1 against the top 11.

Home v 17th
Away v 14th
Home v 24th
Away v 23rd
Home v 15th
Away v 18th
Away v 5th
Home v 19th
Home 21st
Away 12th

One game at a time, what a load of bollocks, the players, management and coaches,THEY take it one game at a time,we ,the fans like to speculate whether it's good, bad or indifferent, its part of the enjoyment of being a fan, one game at a time another 'football' term that gets on my tits,

Tough shit 😁😉

More concerned if Ndiaye is still here come the end of January.

40 years of following united (and probably most clubs out of the regular top 10 prem clubs) teaches you otherwise.

Getting 7 homes on the long list is virtually impossible...

You literally can only take it one game at a time. The only question you can ask yourself, which has been banded about a bit, is "are you not entertained?"

Yes. Fucking yes, is what I'd say about bramall so far this season.

Something about bladeacoasters and geese.

How are we going to take one step with both feet still on the floor?

I thought about the y games after the international break…. Look how that turned out…….

I agree with all the positive comment. Most of us are aware of which opponents are coming up next, so it’s only natural that fans want to look forward, especially with a big break coming up.
I don’t really have much interest in the World Cup, and this year has created such a farce with matches being played in UK winter, undermining the Championship season for so many club supporters.
There are two things that give me hope for automatic promotion this season.

1. The squad strength in depth.
We are well in the top group with nearly half the games played. Our injury list is nothing short of ridiculous, but the squad system and up to 5 substitutions available has seen off most pretenders. We are where we are on merit. Few teams can match us in terms of putting out an attacking side with so many first team, first choices out with injury.

2. The team spirit is probably the best I have ever known. Even the humble JLT gets big cheers from his team mates, purely based on his bounce back attitude in the Burnley game. They all love playing the game and their togetherness is apparent on and off the pitch.

You can probably add the supporters to that list too. We stuffed the division form team last time out, and that will always produce knee jerk opinions from fans. It’s the same when we lose, or play badly.
Still close to a full house at the lane, even after the recent blip in form.

Other teams with lesser squads and weaker team spirit, especially in adversity, will have tired players from fixture overload. Some opponents might try to buy success in the JTW? Even expensive, quality players take time to settle and fit in. Because we are relatively poor, it’s not likely to be a problem for us.

We are hitting a good spell at the right time. I trust PH to reintegrate players coming back from injury, and to rest those who need it when they can, using squad depth to do that. Look at the positive benefits of getting JLT and Osborn back, the consider the impact of Berge, Bogle and Lowe returning. It’s got everything necessary to allow supporters to look forward with a smile and a positive opinion.
Second half of the season, more of the same but better. :)

The old “one game at a time” is the order of the day
As we know from before as well when we did get promoted it’s more about the journey than the destination.

You do get to enjoy the summer post promotion but reality is not long setting in for many.

Our record this season is much better against the sides at the top than the ones at the other end of the table. We've beaten Burnley, Blackburn, Preston, Reading, Swansea and Millwall but dropped points against Stoke, Blackpool, Boro and Coventry

A combination of expectation rolling down from the stands and infecting the players and opposition shutting up shop and shithousing is to blame.
Against these lower teams, from the off we need the support there. We know the lads can struggle so maybe we as supporters need to step up and make the atmosphere one akin to playing promotion rivals. That and the players need to be mindful of the fact that they need to move the ball quicker.

Something about bladeacoasters and geese.

Well last night brought most back down to Earth with a bump

People talking about fixtures towards the end of the season and yet the reality is 3 wins in 10.

Brilliant Saturday and well entertained and a bag of shite last night

If there's one thing you learn from watching the lads for decades is, not to get carried away
