Watched the re-run of the game earlier & it highlighted something one of their fans said about Ashley Barnes.
He was stripped & ready to come on then we scored. Next thing, picture of him sat on the bench looking mightily pissed off while Kompany spoke with another sub.
Then commentator said Barnes had disappeared down the tunnel.
Maybe all is not as well as Kompany might like to pretend at Turf Moor.

Some balanced views but...... United physical !!... as they lined up yesterday I texted my son to say that its the first time in a LONG time that we look the same size as the opposition ? and it turned out to be the only game we have dominated in the air in yonks and that's only because we had Mcb. on the pitch , we normally struggle cus we are a small to smallish team against championship land of the Giants defenders ....Big Physical team ..don't make me laugh , shows there lack of knowledge about ( same with all supporters to be fair ! who cares about the other teams ) us and Robinson has only played twice and probably wouldn't be in the team if it wasn't for our ridiculous injury situation a fact they seemed unaware of ?. I hope this puts us back on the right road performance wise but.....this is the Blades ...lol.
 
“Not sure how any idiot can say that Sheff U are the best team in the league when they are not even top, got gifted a corner for the first goal got another goal that was miles offside and were playing a team that had a quicker turnaround and ran out of steam in the second half. Sheff U had a 6 game run without winning that ended last Saturday. They are not all that and just managed to prey on the weakness of inexperienced players who ran out of steam after playing every 2/3 days

I reckon this guy was rocking on the floor back and forth in the corner of the room, knees to his chest.

Completely trying to convince himself everything's fine.

If they have an equivalent "view from" on a site similar to this it must have had years of Premiership teams going on about being bullied at set pieces. It was always a fear when you conceded a corner to them. Saturday was absolute role reversal. We have NEVER, in all my years of watching, dominated a team at set pieces so comprehensively.
I've not seen them play this season and was surprised at how they set up, they came to play, no timewasting from minute 1 like most of the teams that have visited, and look a side who will cause major problems when it clicks. Glad we had spotted their achilles' heel at set pieces and exploited it as ruthlessly as we did. Very enjoyable afternoon when, I suspect, we saw the best two teams the division has to offer.

Got a few Burnley fans on twitter and TBF the last 2 games we have played them (not the COVID comeback game) they have been a delight in the Frog and Parrot pre game - even buying my 17 year old a cider! A very honest view of the hammering on Sat

RND would have given him a much tougher half than Stevens did, that’s for sure

Think most of those comments were fair apart from they don't seem to realise how much quality and 1st team options we've had missing for this game and almost the whole season. For example Jack Robinson has been out injured all season and only returned last week, so we've never used the long throw so well in previous games.

The midfield only had our 2nd choice (Norwood), 5th choice (Fleck) and make-shift (Osborn) playing in it.
Out injured are players very comfortable on the ball and good passers was our 1st choice (Berge), 3rd choice and engine unit (Doyle) and 4th choice (McAtee).

We're missing our first choice right wing back (Bogle) and first left wing back Norrington-Davies, we're also missing our 2nd choice left wing back Lowe.
We're missing a talented striker option in Brewster. We're missing the very experienced Newcastle loanee Clarke, who some might prefer over Robinson.

When we are full strength we are best team in the league with a very strong bench.
With the 5 subs from 7 rule, can't see us losing hardly any in the 2nd half of the season.
Another great attribute is our team are all very experienced regards what required to gain promotion, we can play and we can scrap.

Norwood is not second choice.
