Its Khadra Time

I genuinely believe there's a phenomenal talent inside Reda Khadra if he can just stop making his feet move too quick for his brain to catch up.
There is

He’s made it through the ranks ti become a professional footballer who was signed by a progressive prem club and has represented one of the most successful international teams in the world at u 21 level . We have also witnessed him tearing us a new one twice last year and was probably the most exciting player we came up against . We were all mostly creaming ourselves when we managed to sign him .

So yes I agree

Very much agree.....must be so frustrating because you can see that Khadra clearly has the talent. He just needs confidence and know how to deliver an end product..

I still feel excited when he comes on as sub. He's such a livewire. I always think to myself
"if Khadra himself doesn't know what he's going to do next then what chance do their defenders have"

Good tricky player OR headless chicken?

True....a bit of both....the jury is out...could go either way.
You can just imagine it though.....we deem him a headless chicken and don't sign him
then he joins another club and becomes a really top player...just typical ha ha

Remember Ollie Burke?

The two occasions he came on as sub at home to Sunderland and Reading were the most impressive displays I've seen in a long time.

I don't think he's been helped by the squad constantly being in flux due to injuries and I get the sense that his best role/position hasn't yet been established, but knowing what he's capable of, he certainly shouldn't be written off just yet.

Thought he might have come on for Ndiaye yesterday, to give Iliman a bit of a rest for Tuesday.
TBF if I was iliman , and looking at the top scorer charts I wouldn't want to miss a minute, I'm sure he and mcburnie must have a bit of friendly rivalry as to who will finish top

I’m sure he doesn’t, but given all the injuries we have, a twenty minute rest might be a good thing. Bearing in mind he’ll also be going to the World Cup.

Saw him play at the lane vs England U21’s and he played a similar role to Ndayie does for us, he was all over the front and the defence in the first half had no answer.
He needs a bit of confidence and a run of minutes and I’m certain he will come good.
Maybe after the World Cup break as that will be like a pre season .

Benson from Burnley yesterday did to us what Khadra did to us last season for Blackburn. Problem is he’s not done it for us when he’s come on this season. Is it lack of confidence? He doesn’t look fully fit to me. Other problem is we don’t play with wingers. There was one game where he came on with about 20 mins to go and looked quite good but otherwise been poor. Would love to see him playing well but think he’s probably already “taken his bat home” and we’d be better sending him back in Jan (if we can) and using his wages for someone else.

The issue is we don’t play wingers. And he’s not good enough to be a LWB or RWB defensively.

Where as Khadra runs slightly slower and in circles, and when he does touch the ball, it's like a toddler just swinging for the ball, hoping for contact.

I understand the comments but his crossing is good when he gets in the right position.
I also remember the fantastic run he made to score when Brewster set him up: over 80 yards into the right space.
There is a footballer in there.

I thought that also, he didn't need to stay on for the last 10.
I'd have also brought off Norwood to protect him from a late, daft yellow.

No doubt there is, but in our system.........not so much.
