Thanks Roy! Fucking hell, how many times can the word "bullied" be used in a single View From!!?? Proper performance today and going to get royally hammered.
In fact the only way this day gets better is if the knobhead two doors down who's been letting fireworks off since 5 o clock, blows his fucking fingers off or loses his knackers in a catastrophic Catherine wheel incident.
My day just got better by reading your post.....well played sir!!!

Fair comments, I don't know how Kompany has transformed them from what they were under Dyche, to a Slav style footballing outfit in such a short time, but they will give most teams problems.
We did exploit their weakness and bullied them 2nd half, but the big physical comments make me laugh with midfield like we've got.. We had Anel and McB that's it really in terms of being a big side.. Have they played Luton yet? . get ready, if you think we're physical.

Laughing at all the comments about our massive team with a midfield of Fleck, Norwood and Osborne. 🤣

Mostly reasonable, the odd idiot. "How can can you be the best team in the league if you are not top".

Maybe revisit that one on Tuesday night.

Fair comments from the majority, other than the few salty ones at the end.

Pretty fair comments all round, although tbf when you’ve taken a pasting you just have to accept it and move on!

Think its due to Burnley living in the shadow of your Man Uniteds and Man City means they have great fans who are very humble and down to earth, probably like how Rotherham fans are so "salt of the earth" living in the shadow of Sheffield.

Think most of those comments were fair apart from they don't seem to realise how much quality and 1st team options we've had missing for this game and almost the whole season. For example Jack Robinson has been out injured all season and only returned last week, so we've never used the long throw so well in previous games.

The midfield only had our 2nd choice (Norwood), 5th choice (Fleck) and make-shift (Osborn) playing in it.
Out injured are players very comfortable on the ball and good passers was our 1st choice (Berge), 3rd choice and engine unit (Doyle) and 4th choice (McAtee).

We're missing our first choice right wing back (Bogle) and first left wing back Norrington-Davies, we're also missing our 2nd choice left wing back Lowe.
We're missing a talented striker option in Brewster. We're missing the very experienced Newcastle loanee Clarke, who some might prefer over Robinson.

When we are full strength we are best team in the league with a very strong bench.
With the 5 subs from 7 rule, can't see us losing hardly any in the 2nd half of the season.
Another great attribute is our team are all very experienced regards what required to gain promotion, we can play and we can scrap.

Fair comments on the whole.

Are we really such a physical side who bully the opposition ?

I think we have the balance about right - some skill on the ball and a bit of steel in the challenges.
That just about sums it up. Team spirit is the only thing missing from this reply. The whole squad was magnificent for each other today.

Second half they looked like a conference team, the forwards hid and I don’t remember a defense ever collapsing so comprehensively to an aerial bombardment.
It wa lovely to watch..

Second half their team turned in to little boys playing against men.
Think tiredness, shock, disbelief and our momentum might have played a part too.

They are quite honest remarks mainly... but we played a very high tempo pass and move game 2nd half that tore big holes in their rearguard. Norwood passing was immaculate but Anel and Egan caused mayhem in their box.
But Mc Burnie was the key factor . he was immense in defence and up front . Its like Jeckel and Hyde how he's transformed under Hecky.

Agree McBurnie was monster, they couldn't cope. Something that hasn't been mentioned that maybe deserves it's own thread.

I re-watched the recording on Sky TV and when Hecky was interviewed by Sky they asked for the reason behind McBurnies transformation.

Hecky said he's known McBurnie a long time and made sure he's changed a few things
The reporter asked for more details and Hecky said he wouldn't go into any details.
I'm sure I heard a McBurnie interview a few months ago where he said the club made him install a gym at his house and have more control over his health and fitness.

Is this change the main reason for his upturn in form? Is it all about having better strength and fitness with a better diet?

Might sound cynical but one of the reason could well be he's in the final year of his contract and losing your Income focuses the mind.
I was just starting to accept that McBurnie was more league 1 level and would be joining a league 1 club next season when his contract ends with us
but now it's looking like we will offer him a new contract and develop him further, even if we return to the PL.

he's gone from Chris Guthrie to Alan Shesrer in 6 months. might just be hecky and mccall guiding him in the right direction. His focus has moved from being a loose cannon into a driven athlete and he's seeing it has its rewards. He s enjoying the adulation and. the encouragement

Don't eat pizza whilst reading the view from, it's not worth the damage to your phone....
Ahhhh more cheese on the screen.....

Ta Roy

I’d also say that I was astonished that a team that used to have Mee and Tarkowski were as soft as [deleted] at the back.
Bearing in mind that none of the coaching staff and only 1 of the first XI were here at the end of last season, I don't think it's reasonable to project from last season to this.

Kompany didn't have much pre-season with this lot. He said from the start that being there or thereabouts at World Cup break would be a good position to be in, when he could work with the team. Defending corners might be part of what he works on!

"Sheff Utd are the best team in the division and gonna win the league so they aren’t really a promotion rival like Norwich are”

AAAAAHHHHH, suck it Norwich, you carrot crunching, Morris dancing, sororal-fingerblasting fucknuggets.
