Have to love this though...... “Sheff Utd chap did the same to Conway on the touch line but got the ball and Sky were loving it “
Erm yeah if you get the ball it's usually not a foul! Tanner was way off the ball!
Watched that again just now, Robinson doesn’t make any contact with Conway, it’s as clean a tackle as you could ever hope to see but Conway goes down clutching his leg.

As he was off the field, his recovery was immediate when he realised he wasn’t getting anything from the ref.

I can understand why a lot of their fans would think we're a bad team, based on that match in isolation. But in reality we hardly tried to play football last night, but we beat them doing the bare minimum. Personally I think they need to hire a better manager, such as Critchley.

“the only difference is Sheffield United have taken their one chance (which was offside) and we’ve not taken a single one of our multitude of chances.”

Billy does look offside but with how VAR & useless refs on & off the pitch have messed up the rules i have no idea that despite him looking offside. because he never touched the ball would he be considered offside, as ive seen it been given both ways,
  • opposition had the last touch so it cant be offside
  • he didnt touch it but he influenced build up

& as i discussing with my bristol city mate i cant deny the gamesmanship & its disappointing but i will say it not at the extent you think. because we really are that bad with injuries every fan is sick to the back teeth of injuries. we shouldn't be losing 2 players to injury every time we play. feels like we constantly juggling 10 injuries for 12 months

A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched* by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by:

interfering with play by playing or touching a ball passed or touched by a team-mate or
interfering with an opponent by:
preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision or
challenging an opponent for the ball or
clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent or
making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball

Difference is we had an off night and are going through a terrible injury spell….after the World Cup we will beat them 3-0 at Bramall Lane.

Thanks Roy,

Scott was playing the ref all the time cheating git no mention of him.
Billy was offside probably by the law but then again is he really "interfering with play" 50cm to the right and "onside" he would still be jostling with the Defenders. Its a mute point.

Ndiaye was definitely onside and the ball fed to him was off the defender.

Salteee!

As said above they think one game with a completely patched up team defines us and our quality.

Bristol City a bumbling mid table team who are the same season in, season out. Only City less successful than Sheffield when it come to football! 🙂
To be fair they had six out injured as well.

Thanks Roy. Well those Bristol comments changed fast!
Scrappy win against that prick Pearson. I'll take that thanks.
Who are you calling a prick?
Are you looking for a fight?
A physical fight?
Do you want to fight me?
If you do fight me it'll be a fight that you lose,
because I am an excellent fighter.

If you know, you know 😁

With fifty six percent of the fight.
And that's a fact.

Karma for the 2-1 robbery at our place 4 seasons ago … expected nothing less from them …. Tough shit I’m afraid

Youre an ostrich

We definitely weren't timewasting, our players were genuinely out on their feet. Not like some of the cunty teams we've played this season who have sat on the deck from minute 1 of the game. The only attempt we made at timewasting we did the usual trick of trying to keep it in the corner and then kicking it out for them to start an attack, so we're wank at it when we do try it.

We did do the old Wes being injured when he isn't trick. We did it a few times last season as well and the ref will stop play if the goalkeeper is down.

It's not as bad as Birmingham and Norwich shithousing from kick off though.

They mentioned Norwoods tackle, he clearly got to the ball first, in this day and age it's the follow through that gets a card but in that instance they were both full blooded going for it, which the new directives promote so if there was a card it would be a yellow, and imo that would be harsh, as for the one one on mcatee, I was closer to the ball sat on my settee than tanner was. As for the Robinson tackle, no problem whatsoever, hard yes fair yes well timed yes

Cheers Panchero!

At the end of the day brizzle couldnt beat a patched up off form side with most of the starters out injured and most of the team that did start not fully fit
We finished the game with a centre forward playing with a hernia and the two other forwards on a leg each ,our motm and best defender limped off ,our left wing back has played four consecutive 90 minutes after a long spell out injured ,a midfield consisting of norwood who has played every minute of every game as far as im aware and fleck who has also come back from a long term injury

Our back 3 was supplemented by two players who have barely played all season and yet we somehow won.

I know sometimes in the championship you get results like that but something about bristol city tells me they will get a lot of results like that against them

To be fair to the Bristol fans, if I saw a team collapsing as much as our lads keep doing I'd assume they were timewasting too. I watch us all the time and I still can't believe we rack up this many injuries.
