Norwood's was harsh at a yellow looking at the replay. He got the ball, how else is he meant to challenge for a ball thats 18inches off the ground without using the bottom of his boot?

Can't really disagree with any of that to be honest. Norwood could have been sent off on a other day. Our goal is/was offside but play to the whistle. They hit the woodwork twice so we got away with that. It was a horrible game to watch (as bad as Coventry). Disagree with the timewasting stuff and ayers going down for nowt. Our players are made of glass it seems. I expect it every game now.

We definitely weren't timewasting, our players were genuinely out on their feet. Not like some of the cunty teams we've played this season who have sat on the deck from minute 1 of the game. The only attempt we made at timewasting we did the usual trick of trying to keep it in the corner and then kicking it out for them to start an attack, so we're wank at it when we do try it.

Conspiracy against a team who've been in the Championship for about 8 seasons and are basically as irrelevant as the rest of us.

Give it a rest you fucking Morons 😂😂

If you lost to us having 7 starters missing and a performance as poor as that, without actually creating more than 1 real chance then pack it up, go home. You're not very good

I know they only have a sample size of last night but can they not see that with a patched up team and players hobbling around we might not be as good as when we have a fit squad?!

Football fans eh 🤷🏻‍♂️

No, they can't, and that is football fans for you.

They actually believe that one scrappy game defines everything about a club

When in truth they should be asking how a team that is so weakened by injury, playing some players who are half fit and wouldn't get near the first team sheet under normal circumstances has beaten them

But that would require knowledge of the game I suppose

I think the term is 'ball knowledge'. There are a select few on here who think they have it in spades from years of playing Champ Manager!

“the only difference is Sheffield United have taken their one chance (which was offside) and we’ve not taken a single one of our multitude of chances.”

Billy does look offside but with how VAR & useless refs on & off the pitch have messed up the rules i have no idea that despite him looking offside. because he never touched the ball would he be considered offside, as ive seen it been given both ways,
  • opposition had the last touch so it cant be offside
  • he didnt touch it but he influenced build up

& as i discussing with my bristol city mate i cant deny the gamesmanship & its disappointing but i will say it not at the extent you think. because we really are that bad with injuries every fan is sick to the back teeth of injuries. we shouldn't be losing 2 players to injury every time we play. feels like we constantly juggling 10 injuries for 12 months

Cheers roy, as others have said we played with a patched up team and still limited them to outside the box efforts, but probabally our worst performance in years

Scratched a side together ground à result out luv it!

Sore losers all right. We weren’t at our best missing key players but we grind out the result

The guy who said he loved Tanners tackle has to be a complete tool

Thanks Roy

Hmm knew I’d seen it somewhere before

It was offside, no question. The lino missed it.

Not very happy are they ❤️ it. I'm not sure what anyone saw with Norwood do you actually want players to kick the ball without their foot leaving the floor? He got to the ball first kicked it so the Bristol player coming in late can't really complain that he runs into Norwood's foot I wouldn't have given a yellow never mind a red. I can understand them not being happy with the result it has happened to us in the past when teams nick a goal and we can't score from a load of chances. As for Pearson he is a well known bully and a pig cnut, hate him with a passion. Cheers Roygbiv made my day that read has.

On reflection,

It was offside for the goal
It was probably a red for Norwood

Unlucky little old Bristol.

We’ve had that done to us far too many times in recent weeks, we learnt from it and dished it out last night in droves. I hate time wasting with a passion and hate to see us do it but sometimes needs must. If we do it on Saturday V Burnley at home I’ll boo us.

Norwood could have been sent off on a other day.
For a second yellow, yes definitely. But it was nowhere near a straight red - he tapped the bloke’s shin, and was never out of control or dangerous.

He was definitely offside, no matter which interpretation. Aside from being offside, he also shoved their guy in the back, making him bodge the header straight to Ndiaye, so he was definitely interfering. I would’ve been furious if it happened against us.

Some really salty bastards in there.

Love it.

Lets be honest we were pretty dire going forwards.

We were essentially non-existent first half going forwards. Our only effort was Sharp. And did what good strikers do and tried to head it back across goal but it would have been more effective just heading it to the left corner.

All match Bristol City didn't capitalise on their good final 3rd possessions whether that be finishing or pass. We've had similar at times too.

2nd half we had a good spell for 5-8mins and scored. VAR would probably give it offside suggesting Sharp is interfering with play. Which he is by default but doesn't actually bother challenging for the cross.
We had 1 or 2 half chances after this but that was it.

They were unlucky to hit the woodwork twice but Wes didn't actually have much to do really.

As for Norwoods challenge, yeah could have been a red. Also seen them given as yellows too given the nature of the way the ball bounced up.
Their sending off is all day a red.

Have to love this though...... “Sheff Utd chap did the same to Conway on the touch line but got the ball and Sky were loving it “
Erm yeah if you get the ball it's usually not a foul! Tanner was way off the ball!

To be fair Billy got a nudge in the back too, but yeah offside when the ball left McAtee's foot

I hate the currect mentality that any contact with the studs should be a booking or a sending off. Norwood was first to the ball and played it cleanly, the OTHER PLAYER was making the challenge at that point; the other player missed the ball, no foul, no card, fuck off. As for their fan saying Robbo's touchline challenge was in any way like Tanner's - absolute bobbins.

Salteee!

As said above they think one game with a completely patched up team defines us and our quality.

Bristol City a bumbling mid table team who are the same season in, season out. Only City less successful than Sheffield when it come to football! 🙂
