Freckleton hasn't featured much, if at all, this season either. Might be his first game.

Possibly Marsh and Peck playing off Williams as the first team did last season?
I think Frecketon has just returned from injury.

Probably Marsh just off Williams, with Peck RCM and Broadbent LCM.

Where does Finley Potter play across the CBs? I think I'm right in thinking he played for England with Arblaster?

He played centrally in the match before today's. He's left footed, so could probably play on the left as well, he's composed on the ball and a good passer. I noticed he was outpaced when we conceded a goal last week, so that may be something to improve on.

Gaxha and Cappello played alot last season and I thought they were rated until we released the latter.
According to Deadbat ‘s end of season review this is how much he played with the figures being starts, sub appearances and goals:

U23PDL: 6-2-1 Mins 404 Gls 1 PLC: 1-0-0 Mins 78 Gls 0

That doesn’t seem to me very significant in terms of minutes so he’s got to be making more progress or he’ll be released at the end of the season.

In contrast Capello made 21 starts, scoring four times.

He knows where the net is that lad!

Gaxha had a bad injury which kept him out for most of last season. It's also probably ended any chance he had of making it at the Lane.

Don’t know how strong the Wigan line up was but probably saw it was good and fancied making a few sneaky quid.

Never as easy as that in reality though so I bet they are licking their wounds today

Superb finishes and great couple of assists from Marsh too. Marsh shows his excellent touch and close control on the second.
I was also going to comment. Lad who played him in our two beautiful passes through for him.

Both nice finishes. He looks strong too. Will who? 😏
