Wtf - none of that happen tho did it , were taking what actually happened, if ffs .
Everyone giving McBurnie man of the match today answer me one question honestly, if Norwoods free kick goes over the bar, the ball bounces off Ndiaye's arse and goes wide and Ndiaye gets brought down on the half way line for his wonder goal, the game finishes 0 0..... are you still on here giving McBurnie man of the match? (Honest answers only)
You could say that about any game, zero sum argument,

If Mc Burnie had scored 2 would the usual suspects still be calling for him to go though.

Billy could out for months with ankle ligament damage, we need to get behind what we have.

Didn't get the chance to watch today or see the highlights yet.

I like to think of myself as a fair guy, McBurnie deserves plaudits when he plays well but he does have a lot of ground to make up. It's early but the lad appears to have booked his ideas up and is working hard - all we can ask really isn't it?

McB, Brewster, Mousset, there's good players in all of them they just need to shine. Strange collection of players there but you get my point

Nope

So basically if your auntie was your uncle, your uncle was your auntie, and Hecky transformed into a spaceship mid-game, would we have still won the match.

I'm his biggest critic but if he cost 5m we wouldn't slate him anywhere near as much, he was good today an he really does look fitter faster and stronger. If he starts scoring we will win more than we lose time for us all to start backing the lad. UTB

You are correct. But I don't think we're a cross into the box only team, like Wilder, anymore. We are more of a team that passes thru the defence to strikers running into the gap. That is not his game.

Desperate post , come on say it … he played well!
You won’t spontaneously combust 🤣

Played well, didn't do a lot wrong with the apparent "sitters", at a push, he could have smashed the first rather than being as calm as he was, which might have meant it more likely to deflect in.

He had to battle, as the ref's approach, as usual, appeared to be that he wasn't going to get any protection as he's likely to be a pain in the arse to a defender.

I see no one is yet on Khadra's back for dallying on the ball when clean through? We should have scored more as a team today, but why not enjoy a 3-0 win and say what you see, rather than what could have been.

McBurnie proved today that he's ten times the man some of you pussies are. You all sit there, wanking yourselves into a fury because one of our players isn't the hero you want him to be and now you're sad because he had a good game today. Ran his bollocks off and fucking smashed it. Any other goalkeeper and he'd have bagged a couple today but when it comes, he'll be fine.

Best thing about him? He holds his hands up, knows he's been underperforming but he hasn't hid, he's shown some character which some of you are sadly lacking. Fuck me, the whining you do about McB is fucking embarrassing so go on, like Chingo says, swallow your pride, put your tiny cock away and admit it, he was good today 😂😂😂

No one apart from you it would seem.

Absolutely not, it was merely an example where I'd imagine had it been either Oli, we'd have had it triplicate by now :)

9/10, linked attack and MF. Was always available and created chances. His endeavours created second goal by keeping it in and putting it back int mix. Assist really shame no goal but play like that and they will come.

It's a fair point being made by Drunk blade . You'd expect a goal from those opportunities. But there are some reasons to be cheerful.

I was pleased with his performance. He was involved. He impacted the game and he showed progress on last season. He got into goal scoring areas also.

Those are all very positive. His work rate on the field is always spot on. Hopefully off the field he can have a quiet year. He's not helped himself there especially when he's had a forgettable two years on the field.

Hopefully he gets some fortune to set him scoring and soon. We got away with the misses today. On another day we will drop points because of them. He really needs to work on his finishing. I counted at least 4 really good chances:
  • one first half ball played from left, hits man on line.
  • cushion header by Egan into his path hits keeper. He should have lifted it high into the net. He seems incapable of getting any purchase on the ball.
  • put through inside right, dinks it over defender's head with right, left straight at keeper.
  • put through again inside right, tight angle, hits keeper.

You can't be coming away with 0 from 4 in those situations on a frequent basis as your team will eventually suffer.

But then he did very well with the second goal, though not sure how close it was to being out.

Showing improvement but he just needs some luck to get things going. With Sharp out, I hope he gets it, but he's got to work on striking the ball better, you can't always score with pea rollers, you've got to be able to power home at times. He was unlucky Khadra just ran out of steam too as that was a tap in had he played the pass and not kept it too long.

A good effort from the lad today though.

Brewster similar. A striker in form, given he had time to set himself would have helped himself to that one too. I suppose the encouragement is that we are creating and the strikers are getting into scoring opportunities. We must have crested almost 50 shots this week and scored 5. 1 in 10 doesn't sound that good. XG might suggest someone Is due a thrashing.

But you have put it out there that it’s something he does, so if fans were to get on his back for it remember where it first started 😆

The thread is still about McBurnie being shite for some. One of those chances he didn’t put away could have tebounded up the pitch, RND could have lost possession, Wes fell over while Baldock was out of position arguing with a Rovers coach and Anel and Egan were playing slaps. McB wouldn’t be MOTM then would he?

And you try and pin our defeat on Khedra …Err

McBurnie wasn't MoM today.
He did ok, plenty of effort and did his part in an all round very good team effort.

The problem is we paid £20 million for more than a workhorse we paid £20 million for a goal scorer.

The price tag is not his fault but facts are facts.

No, I'm his biggest critic!!!!

Credit where credit is due, he did ok today and I give him a 7.

Looked interested for the first time in ages! Keep it up lad.
Exactly, after 2 years of failure he now needs to show some consistency and keep up the work rate he showed today and maybe that elusive goal will come.
He had a couple of chances today so at least he's finally getting into the right areas!

23 other teams have strikers that work hard and don't hide. But they probably don't have as much quality as we do. McB has not been firing for a long time and a couple of games of him trying to bully defenders does not mean he gets my adoration. He keeps these last two games going and bangs em in, or assists, he'll get it. And no, he's not doing it for me but like everyone else it's my opinion on a forum.

Very generous marking there! 7/10 at most.

He's a striker, his entire reason or being on the pitch is to put the ball into the back of the net.

Today he once again had a glorious chance and fluffed it, when he shoots it's like a 10 year old having a pop.

Like flogging a dead horse.

When we get a game that's tight we need our strikers to score that one opportunity, something mcburnie lacks more than any other.

He's had enough chances.
He's a striker, his entire reason or being on the pitch is to put the ball into the back of the net........... No it isn't. Everybody is trying to give him the encouragement he needs.

McBurnie tried, but that isn't anything to praise, it's a minimum requirement.
His finishing is woeful and his movement virtually non existant. I'd love us to get rid this window, even a couple of million and allow the rest of the squad who actually play and are footballers to get us promoted.
