It's a marathon not a sprint and it's one of the hardest leagues in Europe to be successful in - keep up the excellent work and keep believing in your methods as i think we have a great chance to go up .

I had a pop at him on here Sunday because I thought he got it wrong on the day (he did). But in the interests of being balanced, well done to Hecky and the management team tonight. They got the team selection and tactics spot in and we beat a very useful looking Sunderland who are on the crest of a wave and hadn't been beaten since Feb/ March.

United collectively did well tonight. Well done lads.

I'll give him credit for last night, however, I want to see that kind of performance against 11 men on a consistent basis before all is forgiven. One swallow doesn't make a summer.

Last night was a long overdue and good result against 10 men, something we rarely do, but the defending still needs work after another calamity of errors at the back saw us gift yet another goal to opponents.

I'm glad McAtee started and that Khedra made a significant impact from the bench. Hopefully we'll see both start against Blackburn. Fair play to McBurnie too. Maybe the fans criticism has fired him up or made him realise that he needs to pull his finger out and try harder.

I want that type of performance away from home. We're better than 90% of the teams in this division, so play like it. Don't be cautious away from home.

And don't be cautious when you're winning and could push for another goal. We're too calamitous at the back to see out results and by the time we inevitably concede and have to search for another, we've lost dominance in the match and struggle to get back into it from an attacking point. When you're 2 goals up with 20 minutes to go, then maybe think about winding it down, or with 15 to go, not at half time or the second we go 2 up.

Agree on gifting goals to the opposition. This has been a problem for some time tbh, hopefully we can stop helping out our opponents.

Hecky hasn't assembled any squad the board and the scouting network has for which they deserve credit for not selling berge and signing top players whoever signed Anel has just made the club £30 mill plus when we sell him i have seen some top CB'S at the lane but he is the best IMO

They have done a fantastic job since the slav sacking press conferencence where that Gianluca Cock nose told us where to get off

Hecky is doing a decent job and my judgement on him will be decided if we go up , the squad we have is probably the best in the league when Watford sell Dennis and Sarr IMO anything other than promotion with this squad is a failure IMO

We were good after the red card last night but before that we lacked again any real game plan and that is down to the manager

If Hecky can get a consistent performance out of the team then we will go up with the players that we have but that's down to Hecky

I said it before, I am a big PH fan, with a few caveats. Fleck’s selection being one of them. That said, no side can yet claim to have it right after so few games. Even high flying Blackburn came unstuck, but they still need to be beaten come Saturday, if PH’s performance can be seen as more credible.
Promotion cannot be won based on our home performance alone.
I understand his caution in away games, but hopefully that will come good as he gains faith in himself and his squad.
Looking forward to Clark and JLT returning to a competitive defence. RND will be a better full LWB for his competent performances at CB. Anel is the real deal, but we are thin on talent for wing backs in this formation.
Got to feel sorry for Ben Osborn up to now. He understands our system, has energy to burn, is flexible, but he still can’t get a game in this injury littered squad.
Plenty of positives for this group of players, and a good start from so few matches. Let’s see how the competition shapes up between now and the first international break?
