Listening to RS commentary which can be iffy, it sounded like none of the newbies impressed. RS now has the obligatory female expert and didn't cover themselves in glory as with 10 mins to go they replaced the match commentary with the Toby Foster morning show. FFS.
I’d rather have a female presenter than Gage

Just back from game.

First half think we hit both posts (far end!). Fleck v good.

McAteer will be decent when up to speed and playing with Berge. Needs to understand not to take risks on edge of our box. Lost ball several times doing that.

Anel immense all game.

Lowe .. joke don’t want him near team.

Alblaster will be some player and did well.

Brewster looked fitter and will benefit from 90 mins. Assume on bench Sunday.

Doyle v industrious when on late.

Khadra had a few decent moments but hard currently to see where we’ll play him.

Played 4 at back all game. Don’t think we’ll be doing that in league now.

Struggling to see any of new lads that didn’t start on Saturday starting on Sunday or soon.

Maxine Lowe that's worth over 5m according to people on here? We don't need him, couple million will do.

Just watched those highlights.

From the comments on here anyone would think we went there and waved the white flag!

Brewster was extremely unlucky to hit the post and it fall to the keeper.

Khadra had at least three efforts where he had a clear sight of goal. On another day a couple of those go in.

The goal was bad defending by Gordon. Stop the cross. That’s your job if you are the fullback. It was very telegraphed and he wasn’t anywhere near close enough to Robinson. Just happened to be placed between the two experienced centre halves. You can criticise them or you can say it was a well weighted cross.

They hit the bar twice but these weren’t sitters. Robinson hit the top of the bar and I don’t think Wes was beaten. The follow up grazed the top of the bar. Wes made a few regulation saves. One good one closing down an onrushing attacker.

Minutes in the legs of those who needed it. It’s a shame if Ozzy took a knock. We all know he has his uses but that creates the obvious space in the XVIII for Doyle now he is back playing.

Expect to see the same team as Millwall resume. Plenty of attacking options with more minutes in their legs in Khadra, McAtee, Doyle, Sharp, Jebbison plus probably Lowe and Amissah.

That cup has lost its allure and has done for a long time. Be funny if the only competition Wednesday won in recent years gets decommissioned! With Ozzy’s knock it’s plain to see we don’t need any unimportant games picking up injuries for us. We now have - Davies, Bogle, Basham, O’Connell, Lopata(allegedly), Robinson, Stevens, Coulibaly, Osborn, Peck injured with McBurnie now only just venturing into U23 football. A good 11 players there out to date.

It’s all about Boro now.

Listened to first half and just watched the highlights, thought it looked/sounded a pretty even game, commentator was saying how it had a feel of a friendly match to it so I won’t read too much into the result. Glad we’re out of it tbh.

People kidding themselves that they don't care, all I see is more gutless shit in an away game, and zero confidence gained for our next game.
From a club perspective I want them to be attacking every game like only a win is acceptable but as I sit here, honestly? Literally couldn't care less. For me the league is the most important thing.

Think Oz will be ok judging by PH post match comments 🤞as we need his versatility!

For me it comes down to Sunday - win at Boro and I won’t give a shit about last night. Lose or a poor performance draw and I’ll start thinking the Albion game has played a part (fatigue, injuries, confidence hit etc). Then I’ll be annoyed.

Couldn't give a fat shit about this obsolete and unneeded tin pot cup TBH. Sure, it's 90s to blood some players and weed out the failing, like Lowe (another one of Wilder's litany of wasted millions)

Middlesbrough now. Strong starting 11 containing progressive talent and potential to show Wilder we are over him and his shitbox style of play.

If we won last night that’s a problem in its self with the amount of games we’d of had to play in a month. The only down side is it would have got the fringe players more game time in a proper match.

Let’s be honest though, we were never going to win it and the leagues our focus

Not great by Gordon but watch egan
At no point does he look at the striker he watches the guy run down the wing and cross it, when Clarke realises he tries to cover but too late, as their walking back he has a little point at egan as to say "he was your man"

My condolences to anyone who pisses the bed tonight. :(

Thank you. I'm touched. Didn't actually watch the game though. 🤔

I don’t think you’ll ever see Gordon a regular part of our team. I’m not a stat man but have we won a game he’s played in from the start yet?

Update:

Started 4 league games, lost 2 drew 1 and won 1.

Cup won 2 lost 2

Only seen the highlights, but seems like we were decent first half, but not clinical enough.. Good to get minutes in some of the lads who need it.. Listening to Hecky we tried a different shape, 442 diamond and they ended up having to match us up 2nd half... Brewster unlucky not to bag a goal, hitting the post, and really Khadra squares it 2nd half and Brewster has a tap in...Not bothered about going out, it's all about getting a result at Boro.
