Probably because we know Reading wouldn't sell out our away end even for 20 quid

All the more reason for us to sign up then, if we’re going to ‘take more’ to the Select Car Leasing stadium than they are bringing fans here to BDTBL, then we would benefit more from a reciprocal deal where away fans only pay £20

Isn't there a rule about charging away fans the same as home fans for an equivalent view? How so they get round this rule, or is it that you can charge away fans less but not more than the home fans?

I guess on an individual basis, Reading are going to be categorised as a low cost game anyway, we might not want to sign up because of the potential of it to impact future income if the scheme is adopted more widely, rightly or wrongly.

There is an article on bbc championship pages about this but being stupid i dont know how to put a link into it

Where all the options are on the top of a post, there is an ion that looks like a paper clip at 45 degrees. Click on that and it's pretty self evident.

I know gate receipts make up a larger proportion of a clubs income the further down the pyramid you go, but I feel like given the current cost of living crisis, that clubs can stomach the loss if they lowered prices.

Plus higher prices often is a false economy anyway given that lower pricing usually attracts more folk to attend thus covering any perceived loss through knocking 5-10 quid of a ticket price.

The Reading home game was £20 quid last season fyi

Aye but if we did this across the board, would we have to charge £20 on the Kop? Or would I have to sit in the away end to get the cheaper tickets? :D

away fans at Reading and their equivalent of the Kop boys were in the same stand last season, so they can charge both the same and the rest of the ground whatever makes commercial sense

The rule says that you can't charge away fans more than home fans. It doesn't say you can't charge less.
