Find it very frustrating we are seemingly spending a big amount on one player when last year we worked on freebies and loans. Makes me think the Prince is off?!

Could rise to 5.15m. That's a lot of money considering we're widely regarded as skint. I know the 'could' will hinge on promotions so will cover its sen, but still. Even the upfront payment is still a chunk.

We’ve shifted some high earners on. That’ll have helped. Possibly performed better financially than expected over the last year too, meaning a larger budget now we’ve weathered “the storm”.

I suspect it only hits 5 mill if we are promoted

Isn't making people think you're skint when you're not almost as good a trick as making people think you're stupid when you're not?

Why would the club ever publicise they've got money to spend? It would only serve to drive fees and salaries up.

This feels like madness. Or Egan is going
Could be the latter, however, we also have needed a CB to go alongside Egan desperately since JOC got injured, If you consider that Ben Davies was most likely 1.5m in wages, £3m for a CB with much lower wages and a high ceiling of potential is a sound investment

If he was a left footer I'd understand more. Feels a lot to pay for a right sided centre back when we have Basham

Tbf Loans aren’t cheap

Olsen, houranhan, MGW, Davies, Goode

Reckon we paid nearly that in fees alone for those loans and probably at least 5million in wages on top. . Pointless really as we haven’t nowt to show for it.

With the fee we’re apparently paying, we’re almost guaranteed a profit on him too if / when we eventually sell. Very smart business from United for a change!

I know it's easy to make an assessment of a player from some YouTube clips.. but I'm genuinely interested / excited about this signing.

He's got all the right attributes to be one of the top CBs in our division. Good stature, looks comfortable in possession, good range of passing, committed and strong. Very positive about this move (if it's confirmed)

From what I've seen, he has a very similar style to Uremovic: Aggressive as fuck and doesn't believe in lost causes. Gets my vote.

I agree, I would say he looks better because he looks to have a lot more ability on the ball. Uremovic was solid but struck me as more of an 'old-fashioned center half' - a head, kick and clear it type. Ahmedhodzic looks to be more of a modern ball playing center-back, but isn't afraid to be dogged and get stuck in either.

I suspect Hecky will be sticking with the 3-5-2 for the forseeable, and they have identified the type of CB that would have flourished in the old Wilder system.

One of the best defenders coming out of Swedish football the last 5-10 years. Can't remember seeing someone dominate games as a central defender like he has. Excellent signing and I'd be stunned if the fee is only 3.5 millions. I thought he would go for 6-7 millions.
Why are Malmo loaning him out, selling him?
