A. We beat them handsomely, they get rid of Gay Ron?

B. We draw, but should win, Gay Rons on borrowed time.

C. We draw, but they have the upper hand, Gay Ron stays?

I'd like him in place so he can really well and truly f@ck it up for the rest of the season.

Saying that i'd love him to go and us hammer them. Not a easy one.

I'll go for A, after some thought.

A.

Promotion is in our own hands no one elses.
Hudds, MASSIVE and MK Franchise need us to slip up to pip us

Keep winning and we are there.

As much as i'd like to see him in place forever, it won't happen.

I want us to wipe the smiles of their grunty little faces and grab a hatful. I don't think it will happen though, i think it'll end up a draw

Megson gets fired after? That'll do for me, it'll resign him to the history books and he'll have no comeback, nor will their fans. He is, as I said when they appointed him, a bad manager in every sense.

Given the players they have Megson is probably the best manager for them at the moment. Any other manager going in there would have one hell of a time attempting to turn that bunch of Thugs into a football team.

So the best result is for us to tonk them, and he gets sacked. We win. They get a manager to manage a bunch of thugs and fall down the table...

We win. Absolutely no question about that. Put more distance between us and them. Think he will get sacked when they do not get promoted this year (losing in play offs) anyway. We should concentrate on getting promoted.

As long as we are promoted i dont care weather we win or draw. Ok Ok I hope we dont loose FGS!

I had the exact same thought following the bbc story that Smegson had already been fired. However I don't think it really matters what happens. We'll win on Sunday, I have a Leeds 4-0 away feeling in my bones that all the fans nerves will be relieved by a smashing. If Smegson goes we'll be 8 pts above them with 2 games in hand still and looking at the Porkers fixtures after the demolition on Sunday their away games alone are easily lost based on their current form so I can't see them finishing within 12 pts of us at the end of the season, new manager or not.

Has to be A. Beat them convincingly, no matter who they bring in if the Ginge goes, we'd be 8 ahead with two in hand. If we take advantage of those two matches that's 14 points clear of them, probably less than Franchise and Hudds. But it's still a decent gap.

What's the best scenario?

We beat them handsomely.
Megson explodes.
Tax dodger heads for Scotland with his ill gotten gains.
Geoff Sheard produces a fiver and gets the worlds massiveist club.
The pork slide back under their stones until shirt time (i.e. those glorious two weeks in August when they still think it's their season and the new shirts haven't started to smell).

The best scenario is clearly

Rochdale and Stevenage beat charlton
Exeter beat Hudds
Bournemouth beat MK Dons

We thrash Wednesday

Stevenage beat Hudds (or possibly draw)
We beat Scunny

I'd take a 4-0 loss to wednesday it meant we got rid of our piggy manager ;)

I'd take A for certain.

I genuinely think that Megson is getting the best out of them anyway and their squad really isn't very good; so I don't care who's in charge.

Additionally, I think Megson is the type of manager to get the best out of them in a game like Sundays.

Which terrifies me...

Difference between a draw and a win is pretty marginal in terms of what it means to the chances of us finishing above them, either would put us in a very strong position.

I think we'll lose (just feel Megson and a physical direct style is better suited to derbies and indeed used to help us overcome the odds against them in the 90s) and see the Scunny game as the most important game. If we win that then the derby defeat will be forgotten and I think we'll be ok, if we lose then ours and pigs fortunes could turn a lot quicker than people realise.

A. but can't see it.

With MacD potentially out, our midfield looks poor now. a victory of any margin would be great, win the 2 games in hand we're 14pts clear of them.

They're gonna be right up for it, 4 defeats on bounce and need to claw the points back. I'm not looking forward to it at all

So your question is, do United fans want us to win away at our arch rivals and go 8 points clear of them with 2 games in hand, resulting in their hated manager being sacked and humiliated?
Or do we only want to get a draw?
It's a real head-scratcher isn't it ;)

In other news, I see Stan Laurel is predicting a 2-1 win to Wednesday:-

We hammer them. Absolutely tonk them, preferably by enough to get them to finally shut the fuck up about Boxing Day. After that I really don't give a shit if Megson stays or goes.

we win 5-0 and Danny turns round and flicks v signs at their north stand then moons them
causing Milan Mandaric to have a massive heart attack

and an owls fan stabs Megson out of frustration and 5 others join in and hes heard saying et tu piggus

this leads to admin in 4 weeks they get docked 10 points and get relegated
We win the title and Danny Wilson becomes Lord Mayer and closes Hillsborough for being an embarrassment , as its no longer allowed to have owls fans on council planning committees
anything less will be a disappointment

What SV says.
0-4 or 1-5 would be about right

Failing that - I would take not losing

There's only one answer isn't there? We absolutely hammer them. Couldn't give a shit what happens after that cause if we beat them, they're not going to catch us up.

We win 10-0. Rocket science it ain't.

Well it will be now you've said that!

My thoughts exactly. Win on Sunday and do the business in our games in hand and it doesn't matter if they're managed by Mourinho guided by the spirits of Clough and Taylor, they won't catch us.

Back in the early years, we were at the wrong end of a 13-0 drubbing by Port Vale I think it might have been. Still stands as a league record. Now is the time to let the MASSIVE have the record they really deserve.

You're all mixed up!

The League record away win is our 10-0 win at Port Vale in 1892-93. We lost 13-0 to Bolton in the FA Cup in 1889-90, which is our record defeat.

A - We hammer them 4 or 5 to 0 and at the final whistle Wilson plants a Blades flag in the centre circle.
