I might get pelters for this but I don’t think he was the wrong manager.

In think Slav was the right manager, the problem was he wasn’t backed in the transfer market and that’s on the board.

The guy has an outstanding CV at this level and has he been backed properly, I think he’d have done far better here.

Probably a bad choice of words by me mate. He definitely had the pedigree but for whatever reason it just wasn't the right fit. I also think he overestimated what he could get from the squad using his methods.

1. McBurnie - the delusion he is in some way a footballer let alone better than any one else at the club at pro level is what cost us our chance of challenging for automatic.

2. Slav. Or was it the fans demanding his appointment? His delusional insistance of playing what he says is presumably the only way ruined our start and similarly destroyed what should have been automatic promotion.

3. Wilder although it's a close call with Heckingbottom in this one aspect. His moronic signings of McBurnie and Brewster and the insistance 'they will come good' even when played out of position cost us so many points and totally destroyed our finances last season and sadly this coming one.

Meaning we'd have had to pay his big wages, and also bankroll what would basically amount to a full rebuild, which would require selling about half of the squad (some of whom wouldn't have had buyers).
