That doesn't correlate with pleading guilty, does it?
Nope. I guess his defence is he's guilty of accidentally assaulting someone. Clearly we're dealing with the head of Nottingham Mensa chapter here.

He's been sent down by the looks of it

Did his mea culpe mention being a cowardly blindsiding bastard?

He has been dealt; with any actions now by Sufc supporters re ordering stuff to his house etc. will only Effect his innocent wife and family.

Please blades do not lower yourself to their standards, we should be better than that

What about the others that attacked Brewster and McB
When are they in court
No mate you’ve got that all wrong. They attacked the crowd not the other way round.

It’s a good point though. Seen plenty of crap about Mcburnie being investigated but what about the pond life that encroached on the pitch and attacked them?

Two years in prison and a ten year football ban. That's a decent sentence.

"He shouldnt have gone on the pitch" and thats it, no mention of "and should not have made a direct run at Billy Sharp and headbutted him into the stand"

Its a joke what has been reported.

He looks like a virgin so hopefully he hasn't got any kids who this could impact on. Having a prick like that for a dad would be harsh on a child.
Where he's going he'll have plenty of Daddies and will no longer be a virgin.

The entering the field of play charge will have been dropped because there was a pitch invasion presumably. This prick would have invoked a whataboutery defense.

He claims to have been supporting Forest for 24 years meaning he has never actually seen them do much himself. Would they have even been in the top flight? It's small consolation but the idea his team could be on the cusp of a return and the twat gets himself a 10 year football ban and his own club (supposedly) going to ban him for life is fitting.

Man jailed for headbutting Sheffield United’s Billy Sharp at football match

Robert Biggs, 30, pleads guilty to assault of captain at playoff semi-final against Nottingham Forest

A man has been jailed for 24 weeks after pleading guilty at Nottingham magistrates court to assaulting the Sheffield United captain, Billy Sharp, at Tuesday’s playoff semi-final at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground.
Robert Biggs, 30, from Ilkeston, Derbyshire, admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He was told that a charge of illegally entering the playing surface had been dropped.

The Nottingham Forest season ticket-holder appeared in court from custody and did not oppose an application for a football banning order during the hearing.
The prosecutor Marianne Connally told the hearing that Sharp needed four stitches to a wound on his lip after being head-butted by Biggs. Connally said the incident was caught by cameras covering the match for live television.
She told the court: “A large number of fans entered the field of play. Mr Sharp hadn’t directly participated in the game. He appears to be standing with his hands in his pockets. Mr Biggs can be seen to run along the pitch. He then headbutts Mr Sharp. The crown’s case is that this is a deliberate and senseless act of violence.”
Connally said Sharp fell backwards to the ground and had an injury to the inside of his mouth, which was treated with stitches by United’s club doctor.
“He has not seen it coming,” the prosecutor said. “There is certainly no suggestion he was goading anyone at the time. Mr Biggs has, to his credit, turned himself in. It’s an assault on an employee, effectively in his place of work.”

I think I want Forest to get promoted now, just so that wanker will miss out.

Actually, fuck that, that awful club deserves nothing more than another 20 odd years of nothingness.

Never seen them in the top flight, never seen anything other than a League One promotion. Closest he's ever got to seeing his team achieve something and he's banned from experiencing it.

How do you police banning orders at football grounds?

I can't imagine the turnstile staff are stood there looking for people that are banned.
I get they can't buy tickets themselves, but how do you stop them going in?

I was always under the impression that you had to "check in" at a police station to show that you weren't at the game.

Although I suppose there's probably too many people that are banned for that to work?

Several weeks inside, loss of job presumably, personal shame to friends and family (very few will defend his actions), banned from his beloved Forest for life, potentially looking over his shoulder for repercussions in certain environments....

Think he'll pay an hefty price all things considered.

If I'd been the judge I'd have referred him for mandatory eye testing if he couldn't see Bill on his way to the tunnel. Such bad eyesight inside could cause all manners of problems 🙄
