Aye, pretty sure that’s what I was “getting at” , if not actually stated.
Seen a myriad of examples akin to the solitary one you provide through my 30 years (daily) experience of working in / with / for & against Courts dealing the entire spectrum of ‘humanity’
Folk that were absolute fucks
Folk that didn’t give a fuck
Folk that were fuckwits
Folk that behaved like fuckwits
Folk that had fucked up
Folk that had been fucked up
Folk that had been fucked over

They key was to (endeavour to) identify , through balanced appraisal and assessment of all available evidence which fucker was which, and deal with each individual accordingly.

Their employment status, mental heath, any addiction or relationship difficulties (as you cited) along with many others, such as physical ailments, literacy, comprehension, attitude & acceptance (as you have described /demonstrated) may or may not be relevant.
Fundamental to any conclusion was / is what was known.

You may recall that this whole ‘interaction’ was precipitated through me taking the piss out of a poster who was adamant that Sharp hadn’t been head butted & then‘doubled down’ by suggesting that injuries sustained may have been caused by falling (on a road?) & then pivoted 360 to deciding it’s an “open & shut” case which indeed may well be (proved to be) accurate.
From experience it is difficult to identify what mitigation would be successful but I’m sure his brief will give it a shot - perhaps they’ll cite your initial post that there was no head butt - now that would be a mind fuck !

Ive missed one away match this season ,and that hasnt happened to me once.

First thing we have to do, is admit there is a significant hooligan element in the game, which is getting larger as it goes unchecked.
We need to stop saying we’re all fantastic apart from an odd one or two.It simply isn’t true.
All clubs need to get a grip with stewarding,before someone is seriously injured or killed.it’s just not fit for purpose anymore. Grounds need to be properly stewarded by professionally trained people and a larger police presence.

Absolutely agree. Some of our fans are a disgrace too. OK, to my knowledge none have brutally attacked an opposition player like yellow top dick splash did last night, but we certainly have some prize tossers amongst us.
I hate to say it as it punishes us decent fans too but harah sanctions need to be taken against clubs who fail to control their fans like we saw last night. Maybe no fans for Forest at Wembley would be a good incentive for other clubs' fans to behave? Perhaps pitch invasions result in games played behind closed doors, repeat issues eventually lead to point deductions etc?
Maybe this would spur clubs on to dealing with problem fans more robustly.
Something needs to change.
 
A couple of Leeds fans at work today were saying there are more people now by far than before lockdown that are a combination of coked/pissed in their experience this season, a Bradford fan also said he'd seen more of it at Valley Parade this season.

Seems to be the 'thing' to do.

Fucking imbeciles.

It's not going to be long before something really serious happens in one of these pitch invasions, that's when something will get done about it.

I have zero interest in taking my 2 children to any away games after the stories I've read on here about away days this season.

I was driving through Leicester today and connected to capital East Midlands.

It is being reported on there that Billy Sharp was injured in a fall. No mention of assault or arrest. Utter shambles.
 
Leicester fan at work said he couldn't remember the last time they invaded the pitch. Not after 2 promotions and winning the EPL. Everyone celebrated like mad, but stayed in the stands to do it.

He's straight as anything this chap, and has an excellent knowledge of football, so I tend to believe him.

If he's correct then it is perfectly possible to celebrate without invading the pitch.

I went to watch Celtic play Forest in Nottingham in the old European Cup days

20,000 Celtic fans in the stadium and five times that number outside

The Forest fans weren't quite so brave that night
 
My mate at work is a Liverpool fan and he said when he went to the game at the City ground the Forest fans were waiting for Pool fans to leave and were throwing coins and spitting at them. My mate lives in Nottingham and said he always had them at a “2nd team” and like to see them doing well but says he can’t stand them now after see how they behaved when he attended.

That was at Filbert Street. His point (and I should have put this) is that there have been no pitch invasions since they moved to the Walkers/King Power Stadium.

So you're correct but it was30 odd years ago

When you put it like that it is a bit daft isn’t it. As I said earlier, I’ve never had an desire as an adult to get on the pitch unless it was with my boots on and coming out of the tunnel
