Am I missing something here ? Why is everyone getting so precious about a tiny pitch invasion last home league game of the season. It’s happened since I started following football.Although taking begging signs onto the pitch is a bit beggy.

The snitching and calling out for bans and prosecution is way over the top.
They were asked to not invade the pitch by the club presumably because they didn't want anyone potentially injuring a played by leaping on them as it’s not the last game of the season, merely the last game of the regular league season, yet some idiots decided that what they wanted to do was far more important than the club’s request.

They are selfish cunts who think that running on to the pitch despite being told not to is an act of bravado, that’s why people are pissed off with them. If they get banned from future attendance it’s their own fault.

Tannoy announcers have always asked people to stay off the pitch though.Never seen a player injured by a celebratory pitch invasion (I could be wrong) .It seems way overboard the way people are going off.We are Sheffield United , when did we become the boring prawn sandwich brigade ?

I can confirm you’re missing something. Hope that helps.

It's the "fuck the other 30k fans standing patiently, I'll do what I want" selfish attitude I don't like. Says a lot about a person imo

The only thing that shocked me was how little went on , I didn’t myself by the way.I just think calling for bans is absolutely ridiculous.I remember finishing about 15th to Burnley at home early 2000s and loads going on.

I agree with the posts pointing out the twatish behaviour. Fair enough.
I think the posts calling for lifetime bans and burning at the stake are a symptom of the internet driven world.

He was part of a large group that just stood in the aisle at the top of gangway B all game. When he put the flare down and legged it, he melted away into the crowd. No one will id him because him and his mates didn’t go to their seats and the stewards couldn’t care less.
Fair point, looks like they can crack on then 🧨

With the greatest respect in the world are you taking the piss??

1) Going onto the pitch is illegal and carries a stadium ban as the absolute bare minimum.
2) The club/players via Gary Sinclair had requested fans stay off the pitch so they could do their Lap of Appreciation in peace.

Whether you agree with a request or not. If you then go against that request and decide to do what you want instead then you are an absolutely fucking entitled cunt!

Saturday reminded me of Peterborough at home in 1982. Roughly 40 years ago to the day. We won 4.0 I'm pretty sure we were 3.0 up at half-time haven't checked. I was 15 and on the Kop which had fences but everyone was on the pitch at full-time. Times change. I'm more concerned about people throwing missiles than pitch invasions. Throwing a bottle is well out of order.

Did Gary tell folk to keep of the pitch in 82?

3-0 half time at London Road, 0-0 half time at the Lane

Bore off , imagine getting that upset about something so trivial that doesn’t impact you.

Why is this thread bouncing round at the top of the forum, after this result.
Do we really want to find anything to whine on about?? It has been brought up, fine, but is this all we've got???

Aye
& I’ve never seen anyone chewed by an alligator but I tend to listen to suggestions / requests & advice about stroking em

Tannoy? No such thing.

Let you into a little secret me and my mate went on pretty much every pitch in the 4th division as 10/11 year olds.

Nobody told us off , nobody got in a panic about it

Those who went on the pitch should be put up against a wall and have a truck driven into them, seeing their innards squirted out onto others who may be there with them, as a warning to get the fuck off it. Our style of play demands a good pitch.
If you're willing to jeapordise that to brush your own ego and risk our play off chances, you're a cunt of the highest order.
