When Hecky took over we had averaged just one point a game thanks to the disastrous Slav experiment. Under Hecky's leadership we have averaged 2 points a game, despite our horrendous injury list. Fulham have 90 points, an average of 2 points per game.

We have so many negative posters on this forum - they need to get things in perspective. It's reasonable to surmise that we could have been equal to Fulham on 90 points based on Hecky's extraordinary record.

OK - we may not make the playoffs, but let's just digest these facts please and recognise what Hecky has done. Nothing short of amazing ..... well done to this depleted squad and to Hecky and his management team.
UTB!!!!

Whilst I can understand that it is management speak at times, I can appreciate that the horrendous injuries have never been used as an excuse.

They are a valid excuse. For all their achievement just now, take out Mitrovic, Cordova-Reid, Carvalho and Wilson from Fulham and see how effective they would have been since January. That's not so different to us being regularly without Sharp, Brewster, McGoldrick and McBurnie. Fact you can add Bogle and many others makes it all the more remarkable. In fact whenever someone has looked a key figures they've almost systematically ended up unavailable!

He's also resisted the temptation to lay into anyone publicly be that McBurnie or his continual mantra of "they're just babies" in football terms to temper pressure being put on Jebbo, Osula, N'Diaye etc.

His interviews are sensible, not cocky or overemotional like some managers and he doesn't make you cringe with his comments. Just comes over as decent and grounded which is what you need when you crave stability.

He's also excellent at whistling with his fingers which I've never been able to do, so credit to him for that 😁

This quote shows that even being flat the players turned themselves around. May that chat amongst players continue before the game on Saturday.

"We had a talk at half-time, we looked at where we were going wrong," explained Robinson.

"We weren’t creating enough, we weren’t having shots, we weren’t chasing the ball down. It was tough to be honest and then obviously, we came out second half and you could see from the first minute we were fired up. As I say, we got that first goal and that gave us a boost to get two and then three "

I mean Fulham have taken a lot of plaudits this season, fair enough in some regards, but also they’re only on 90 points - 2 per game is not that good for a team that’s won the division.

It has been much better under Hecky and he deserves great credit. But sorry these players have bottled it too many times at the end of games and that may cost us playoffs and possible promotion in the end as much as the injuries. At a crucial point in the clubs fortunes / finances this could end up a might have been season so for me it would be a rueful miss of the playoffs not just never mind we have done well. That said looking at the situation as objectively as possible we have a great chance and any news that Preston or reading have scored will settle nerves. COYRAWW.

More likely to hear news that Boro or Luton have scored, or both.
