I was utterly starstruck, and could barely manage to stammer "erm...pint of lager please" when Ugo asked me what I wanted.

It was one of the best nights of my life mate. Was on an organised bar-crawl, and we bumped into the whole squad in the Psalter. Was with a mate who is a Leeds fan, and still have a photo of me, my mate and Matt Kilgallon. Had a bit of a chat with Billy in there, and thought no more of it.

Moved on to Varsity, and I (literally) bumped into Billy again in there. He grabbed my arm, and insisted on introducing me to the whole squad. Morgs, Paddy, Gillespie, Ugo, can't honestly remember who was there, but it was most of the team. They were all sound as fuck. Ugo was going round asking what everyone wanted and came to me. I was gobsmacked. I told him not to bother and he said "mate, not to be a dick, but I'm a footballer, I can get you a pint." And he did.

Still hold on to the pics from that night and treasure them.

Said this before but it bears repeating. Ugo played 26 games for us and they finished as follows:

Won: 16
Drew: 9
Lost 1 (the game at the Sty when Mike Dean sent Kilgallon off)

That's not a coincidence. A class act.

Bruno was a wonderful player. He personified everything you'd wish for in a defender, talented, brave, intelligent, what a player and such a sad ending to his life, we'll always remember you mate.
