But 4-0 followed by 2-0 and 0-2 for us...not beyond the realms of possibility at all...unlikely, but "in theory" they still have their chance and will see Friday's game as an opportunity. Let's make sure we put it to bed on Friday.

Need to watch out for Millwall. Only hope that loss there doesn't come back to haunt us like some big ghostly lion thing.

A win and a draw and our gd protects our 6th place
If Boro win their 3 games they could well improve on our GD unless we thrash QPR. Boro are in poor form but have 3 games against teams with nothing to play for.

It is clearly in our hands but I wouldn’t be surprised if we need to win both our games.

They lost to hull who had nothing at all to.play for and scored 1 goal in 5 games

have you seen QPR lately
No, can't say I have. But I did see Sheff United at home to Reading last week...a better team than them would have murdered us. We lost 4-0 at Coventry if memory serves on a day when those who attended expressed dismay, disgust and disbelief. I don't think we will get dicked at QPR, all I'm saying is, whilst they've done really well to turn this season around and maintain a playoff position, this team has shown the capability to absolutely not turn up on occasions and if QPR come flying out of the traps and we are on one of those days it's not such an unimaginable scoreline. Let's hope we treat QPR like we did Boro at home not so long ago...

We could put a nail in so many coffins if we can roll QPR on Friday.

Huge pressure on the chasing pack if we do, it would be purely maths keeping Blackburn and Millwall in it if we do win.

Boro can make 73 points and Cardiff and Stoke are both winnable home games whilst Preston is a tricky one. Still, should we win Friday, 7 points from 9 won't be enough.

Step forward Sir Billy!

Great position and brilliant win today. I love ndaiye and think he is a great lad. Utb

Millwall got Cherries away last game of season. Cherries will probably need to win that game to seal that 2nd place and can't see Millwall getting a win. Best a draw

It was 4-1 at Coventry after we scored 1st as well ! Shame we have thrown so many points away recently as well as being robbed of a few points because of dodgy ref decisions - e.g Blackpool away disallowed goal, blatant pens at Stoke and Bournemouth - we could and should have been challenging for 2nd with Bournemouth ! But its the Blades way !

Looking at everyone’s remaining fixtures the only side I can see overtaking us is boro.
Millwall have got to go to Bournemouth last game who may have to get something to guarantee promotion and Millwall aren’t great away from home.
Boro on paper are capable of winning all 3 games but are in poor form

In our hands but should be done and dusted by now.

Our away form is awful so QPR is far from a gimme. Fulham hopefully are champions by then and Mitrovic has hit the record for goals otherwise it’s the last team you would want to face.

With Billy and Bash back we’ll hopefully get over the line and then go into the playoffs on a high.

Looking at the fixtures I wouldn’t write off Boro just yet.

And another dodgy ref today, turned 2 stonewallers down for us whilst Millwall get one given in the 8th minute of added on time. Hmm. Not dodgy at all then. Presume we are not bribing them or the envelope isn't quite fat enough!
