You would hope Prince's lawyers would have done their due diligence to make sure that he's actually going to get his £115m?

Oh, and, 'Sheffield United are worth £115 million quid' is a sentence that would have looked like absolute fantasy-land thinking even 5 years ago.

The property and land has always been valuable
But that's all we had 5 years ago, and sadly all we've got now

There wouldn't be a statement from the club at this stage though, more likely only if it was total crap would it be denied through using radio Sheffield or another local media outlet.

Yep, was just thinking the same. If there was no truth in the story, SUFC would have spoken to Rob Staton, or whoever, and let them know, surely.

Newcastle fans thought the same as well. He bid more money and still didn't get Newcastle.

It's less welcome to Sheffield, more welcome to show me the money and prove you are not a complete bullshitter.

Why do we have doubts about a new owner? See the list of previous owners and interested buyers.

Hassall, Bearley, Hinchcliffe, Woodhouse, McDonald, Columbotti, Green, Laver,

Frightening

Proper news outlets like The Athletic and the BBC don’t go all-in like they have unless they’re pretty confident. It saying that guarantees it’ll happen, mind, but it’s pretty evident that something is going on involving the club and Mauriss.

You watch, they’ll have got crossed wires somewhere though and it’ll be fucking Mel Morris.

Please read the thread - he built from scratch "Credit America Corporation" (Experian Uk equivalent) from scratch 1998 to sale in 2010. The company has been renamed but made $2billion profit last year - so he made a pretty penny when selling it. Speculation but reportedly he is worth $7 billion, certainly a step up from the prince.

I don't believe this guy is behind the bid, if a bid has even been made.

7 billion would be more than a step up, but it doesn't mean that top quality players will be bought.

I think QPR's owner a few years ago was the 4th richest man on the planet at one time

Prince has done absolute bits during his time here. Imagine these kinds of numbers being bandied about without him.

No idea about the legitimacy of this bid and completely understand the scepticism based on the available info on old Henry.

Have to say though, we've got a good few amongst us who wouldn't trust any 'forrinnah' no matter how good their intentions.

Pretty sure some would prefer League 2 with Kev 'because we've still got a team to follow'
