Did anyone else notice that there were 2 teams out there today? They absolutely deserved their win but that seems to be missing from most of the posts tonight. For sure we were poor today but let's give a bit of credit to Reading. They did a job on us and got their reward.

Their first goal was good if a bit uncontested. I was too busy rubbing my hands for extra time and missed their second.

Seen plenty worse teams at the lane this season including Huddersfield and Luton.

I've said this in the matchday thread. I've had time to calm down and reflect on the game and I've come to the conclusion that our overpriced, overpaid and underperforming superstars made 4th from bottom Reading look like title contenders. But, Reading played like the playoff contenders whilst we played like we were mid table with nothing to play for. Reading were, by far, the better team on the day and deserved their win. How we are still in 6th place is beyond me.

They were pretty good. Used the ball very well on counter attacks and managed to create opportunities, something we barely managed with a lot more of the ball.
João was a handful up front, wish we had a player like him. The difference between him (£5m) & McBurnie (£20m) was staggering.
Would like to pinch him and the absent John Swift next season, but doubt we'll be in that sort of market.

They didn't have to do much defending because we had no cutting edge. Everything was in front of them. It was a comfortable away win despite the late drama.
Sky gave MOTM to their centre half, but he was up against McBurnie. Won't have had an easier game all season.

Setup not to be beaten and achieved their goal. They were always going to get a couple of chances with a strong, quick forward like Joao against weak, slow defenders like ours. Ince and the number 14 did a good job of closing our wing backs down and we didn’t have a clue in midfield.

We got what we deserved today..nothing,we were 2nd best from 1st whistle,they wanted it more than us and once they scored they had something to hang on to,and we weren't clever enough to break them down...fair play and well done to reading.
