Aye, they were real men back then. Those pictures were taken in early January too, and not a snood in sight.

Got Kettlebrough in the 2nd picture, in the background is the white wall on the kop, I seem to remember there being posters recruiting for the forces Army, Navy & RAF what was the 4th poster for ???

The top photo was definitely taken in Summer 1960 and the bottom was in Summer 1961. Kettleborough (missing from top photo) signed for us in December 1960 and Hamiltom (missing from bottom photo) left us in early 1961

Seen the photo before. It was taken in 1904
 
It was one of the first masterpieces by Archibald Leitch.

Only a few examples remain, most notably the Main Stands at Ibrox, Craven Cottage and i think Fratton Park has still got a genuine Leitch stand.

One of the stands at Goodison Park is a Leitch.
