Kell's view from the Kop.

Rumour has it, he actually said he hated Wednesday and wished hillsborough was turned into a piggery, but the Star didn't want to hurt the piglets, so used a bit of constructive journalism.

He's got a good memory Tony Agana left when Kelly was 4 or 5
Agree, the Agana reference makes it seem a bit like Jess Ennis claiming she's a big Blade when only ever attending a handful of matches despite living only a couple of miles away. Does he go on the Kop? I've never seen him.....

Not too sure that he does.
I've seen him in the TC 10 suite on a couple of occasions, I'm thinking that's where he goes wherever he attends the games.

I was at school with Jess (and Joe Root actually, and film actor Matthew Beard...that was a crazy few years at Ecgberts) and she's never been a Blade.

Her dad was, sure everybody knows Vinnie on here, he was good mates with my dad as they used to play for the same pool team...but Jess never gave a shit about football until she was useful as a "famous fan".

Used to look down her noses at a lot of people too, despite growing up and living on Highfield Place.

Can't fault her sporting achievements, she was always special, but a Blade? No.

interesting... didn't mince his words about Mousset, i'd imagine they probably moved in similar circles in Sheffield when he was playing for us... and seems hesistant re hecky, weird that he didn't recognise his amazing achievements so far (although the interview and publish date might've been quite far apart?)

So...local hero has a brilliant win against hated rival & in the press he speaks of his love for the Blades, meanwhile his every word is picked apart by "proper fans" to prove he isn't actually a fan of the Blades. Is that about right?
No - I dont think that is the inference you should draw from this. Kell is obviously a committed Blade, and a respected boxer. I for one applauded his commitment to his fighting career coming back from some serious injuries. If he goes for a drink in TC 10 good luck to him - he deserves to have some recognition for his achievements.

I've seen him on the kop ,quite high up on gangway B in league 1 days ...Night match (I knew it was him as he had his tracksuit top on with his name on back )
I'm not disputing the fact he's a Blade I'm sure he is ...just seems a bit too young to remember Agana

Ken Junior got one of his gloves on the kop.
It was signed and everything.
He still has it.
Not sure what you can do with one silver boxing glove, though?

I'm guessing that his Uncle J drummed Deane and Agana into his head at the time and it's a memory of his.
Kell was at Wembley for the Burnley play-off game. He was that gutted afterwards that he didn't train for a week (cue a bigger Blade claiming that they had a month off work afterwards)😁

I think some people need to realise there’s varying degrees by which people support the club. Just because Kell didn’t go to watch us play Piacenza in the Anglo Italian cup and isn’t at every single game, it doesn’t make him any less of a fan. People have different lives… do you think he’d have achieved all he has if he’d been travelling down for Plymouth away on a Tuesday night etc.? His profession can’t allow it.

Well I disagree. Unless you have attended EVERY game, got EVERY strip, home, away, third, training stuff, key fob, Blades double-ended dildo for the missus, have your brown star artfully retattooed into a Blades crest ... actually ... maybe not ... all of your walls, decor, kitchen utensils and toilet lid as something to do with Sheffield United, you can't call yourself a Blade. Ever. No siree. You have to forgo distance, personal matters and finance to fund your obsession just to qualify.

To some, anyway ...

This, I absolutely berate my in-laws because they put watching the pigs over absolutely everything else in life and then expect others to fit into their schedule when they aren't knee deep in pigshit. I'd be the same if it were the Blades or any other team though as it's unhealthy.

I go and watch the Blades and get to as many away games as having a 9 year old and 7 year old (and another arriving imminently) who do some form of sport/club every night and both days at weekends. It annoys me that people think I have less of an opinion because I don't travel to Middlesbrough on a Tuesday night because I want to pick my kids up from school and then take my daughter to her acrobatics class or my son to football training. I book holidays in the middle of the season because it works for us (haram I know!).

I've seen things before where there are cycles of being a football fan and they ring true for most. If you'd have told a 25 year old me that there was life outside of watching the Blades and playing golf 4 nights a week I'd have probably told you to get bent or something similarly witty.

If you're a Blade and manage to get to all games, u23's, women's games, u18's etc. because your life circumstances allow it then well done to you, just don't look down on those with different circumstances who can't do the same.
