No, not Oxfords creditable following who certainly enjoyed their day out and made a fair bit of noise - more like the two 'fans' sat behind me today in the South stand. Never in all my years of supporting SUFC have I heard such vitriol levelled against individual players. You may think this odd as we won today and had little trouble casting aside Oxford's challenge, correct, all this shite was flung at the players as they left the field after the pre match warm up. Every man except Simmo copped for a barrage of foul mouthed vitriol, mostly subject to the Bradford game. I've never heard abuse like it before a game started.
I wasn't quite sure if these two objects were quite all there and hadn't a full deck up top and as the game unfolded and they really got into gear, I began to wonder if it was a wind up. They were so bad, some people behind them started ripping the piss every time they screamed abuse, however most were shaking their heads in disbelief at some of the shit they spewed forth.
At half time we'd had enough and went and sat over in the corner near the kop, otherwise I might have spoilt myself, such was the provocative shit the espoused.
Thank f*ck these two morons don't sit behind us regularly, I would surely have to change my seat. When Evans scored (he'd been called from a pig to a dog before and during the first 20 mins), one of the two never blinked, he just sat there with his arms folded and barely raised a clap when the second one went in.
At 3-0, the barrage continued, sarcastic, nasty asides at different individuals, it was quite sickening to hear.
If someone had described this to me I would have found it hard to believe, but witnessing it was truly shocking. Why do people like this attend, purport to support the Blades, and do this for enjoyment? Bizarre!
