This is in General Blades Chat as it is an open invite to all.

For a few years, a number of us have been intermittently meeting on a Sunday morning to have a friendly, "non-competitive" game of football. It started as a way to keep in touch through the close season and carried on.

All age-ranges and abilities are welcome and the cost of the pitches are shared equally between those playing.

This week we'll be playing at Goals, Norfolk Park Road and the cost will be £2 each, most probably less if we get enough.

So, if anyone is free this coming Sunday morning and fancies a game, this is what you need to know:

Venue: Goals, Norfolk Park Road, Sheffield

Time: 09:30
Cost: Around £2 each - most probably less.
What you need: Trainers or astro-turf boots. No studs. Shinpads optional. A sense of humour.

Guests are welcome.

Please yay or nay for definite by Friday night if possible.

RSVP by replying to this thread!

Non-members can express an interest by email to [email protected]

Might need to do some press-ganging on Saturday. It's not what you're thinking Mousage.

more chance of the beatles reforming than you lot getting enough numbers for a game of 5 a side
fairweather footballers the lot of yer

Looking good then!

Time to take 163 into something more structured. Are there no leagues and stuff we can join?

Strange how all the old buggers that still have flare skill and loads of style can make it, and all the pups can't. Team 163 should move onto bigger and better things.

Thing is 9.30am on a Sunday morning is tooooooo early considering I dont come out of the pub until 1.30am Sunday morning after a few too many real ales and a few fake ones. Us old uns need our beauty spleep
