That both Sheffield clubs were knocked out by lowly Bradford.

The commentator said it was a cracking cup tie, but i swear he must have been watching a different match. I saw a bunch of park footballers being outplayed by Bradford tonight, very few bright spots, and we are truly fucked into a cocked hat now that Clarke and Phillips have gone back.

Well said......... To sum them up...................there fucking rubbish !!!!!!! A disgrace to the shirt, the city, and the faithful. I dont know how they have the neck to collect there wages. Disgrace !!!!!!!!!!!

Shapeless, clueless and with no idea how to pass the ball in a forward direction. I thought it was bad before tonight on what I have read and heard from people on here but having seen it with my own eyes I am devastated by the complete lack of technique so much in evidence against Bradford. Clear them all out and start again, there is not one worthy of a contract on tonights debacle.

Nice to see only Matty Lowton clapping the fans at the end. The rest of them fucked off straight down the tunnel, I hope they were ashamed.

Simonsen clapped as well (which he hasn't done very often)

To a neutral it was a cracking cup tie.

I quite enjoyed it myself - until we started missing penalties.

Was surprised this morning when a Leeds fan in the office said it was a good game to watch on TV. He picked out McDonald and Williams as our best players.

Williams our best player , is he on smack
Can anyone tell me why Williams plays , since he came in weve been a shambles its no coincidence the goals have been leaking in since he was put there to throw the back line off

Bradford wanted it last night
Our players in the main , wanted to go somewhere warm and cosy, that didnt include being on the pitch
Personally Id have them in and make them watch it ad infinitum till saturday

Bradford seem to have found the formula for beating Div 1 sides.

We seem to drop our standards when playing inferior (in theory) clubs.

Fair play to Simmo then, though I was watching the players on the half way line so guess he was 60/70 yards behind them.

I heard they didn't clap the fans at Stevenage either? Might not seem a big thing to them but it be good of them to recognise the fans - especially those who will have paid to go to 3 games this week.

Chris Porter for me stood out as absolute bollox. How the fuck this man draws a wage pretending to be a professional footballer is beyond me.
I knew things were bad, but, after watching last night just makes you realise how fucking astonishing we really are.

Sorry to say, I'm with you Broomers, I decided to watch it as a 'neutral' and not get wound up by our many and various inadequacies. Was a great game, and nowhere near as one sided as our doom and gloomers would portray it. Both sides had plenty of chances to win without getting to penalties. We nearly won it twice with seconds to spare. I am disappointed but a long way from embarrassed. Where are our expectations exactly? Wasn't it mid-table, clear out and rebuild. It seems I have lost track of it...

Great game, very even. But Dunc, your pride in our man for man matching of the side propping up just about the entire footbal league, at home, is a new marker even for you.....:)

Thought it was a really good game to watch for the neutral, considering it was two lowly football clubs playing in a piss pot competition

However, being a blade watching a bunch of slow, languid, out of ideas, bunch of nansie pansies, for me was totally unacceptable.

As each week passes, the performaces both individually and collectively as a team diminish in quality

One has to ask why performance levels cannot be maintained?

The players? The manager? Both?

At this rate and I know some will say it's the usual pessimistic view from me, but at this rate we are only heading one way. The writing is on the wall and it reminds very much of last season. Everyone could see what was happening to our club, even from very early on in the season, except the complete clappers and the RS crew on footy heaven, who would always defend the board and argue black was even white at times.

We are 5th, but for how long is a big, big concern!

I think when you want players to hold the ball, confidence is key. Amongst other limitations, we're clearly lacking it right now.

Utterly laughable. I think you'd be happy with a score draw against Brampton dynamo's under 9's.

Where did I say I was happy? I just don't get all this rush to over-analyse and criticise and outpour all this hyperbole and outrage about a game in a cup that no-one seemed to give a shit about before the day. Bradford were up for the game, worked hard and caused us lots of problems, as hard-working 'in-your-face' teams are doing. They had chances to win in 90 mins, but then so did we. We tried a few fringe players who really didn't do much to shout about, despite the belief that they are the 'answer' and Wilson should be playing them. Instead we drew the game and lost on penalties. Boo hoo...

So why exactly would you be 'absolutely embarrassed' not just for yourself but the whole of South Yorkshire, Highbury. Do you think that the good people of Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster give a flying fuck about us losing on penalties to Bradford, just as the piggies and Huddersfield have done? Was it an absolute embarrassment that we got the opposite result vs. Hartlepool, and needed to go to penalties to beat them? When did we have the expectation that we should win just because we're playing a 'lower' team? You seem to have lost your sense of perspective, no..?

Er, since they invented league tables. Are you seriously telling me we should not expect to win that match?

You mentioned in the past, quite frequently, that Len was becoming a parody of himself....

I was thinking about it , as you do , and we only see it from a fans view, they werent trying , its like rthey dont care

But then you say , think like a pro footballer , its work, I get x amount of money
If we get to the final I have to play a re arranged game on a tuesday in april
thats overtime for nowt

all of a sudden they are like us , idle buggars who want to do the least amount of work for the money they get

I can relate to that
I dont give a toss about the JPT , they dont want to work unnecessarily, everyones happy

Absolutely embarrassing, Bradford were the best team and deserved to win. I don't care what competition they are playing in, as far as I'm concerned they should always give 100% and if they're going to stroll about as though they don't give a toss, I'd appreciate the heads up before I make the 120 mile round trip!
