Wilson Out

McDonald was excellent, both against Exeter and again last night. He passed the ball accurately, long and short. It's not his fault that he has to play with the sort of ragamuffin, shadow-chasing, anti-footballer that you admire so much.

The Maestro 'played' against Orient, Exeter and Stevenage, did he not?

Sorry Pinchy but when you have a midfielder that can't or won't tackle and can't or won't run back then you have a problem. Nobody wants a team of Monty's and ideally we could clone Monty and McDonald and have a midfielder that works, tackles and can pass the ball, thing is if we did he wouldn't be playing at SUFC. Unfortunately last night the work rate of the Bradford players was 10x the workrate of the SUFC players. I was expecting/hoping that they would tire but they didn't and respect is due to them for that. The question is why we didn't match that workrate and why despite having 2 quality players on the flanks that we didn't create anything and apart from one cross by Lowton I can't remember a single cros that got past the first man?

The Magnificent Seven would have been daft to expect results if theyd put Eli Wallach in charge. We put a grunter in charge, what did we expect?

Fuck that, just look how Oasis would have turned out if they had signed to Simon Cowell's Syco label, instead of Alan McGee's creation.

To be honest at the moment i class United very much as a work in progress.

DW has had barely six months in charge, and he is trying to change the culture of the club with mixed results. I was dead set against his appointment, but he is here and doing his best to try and turn in around.

At the start of the season, it was always going to be a transitional season, and going straight back up would be difficult, so that is why i'm not too concerned about Wilson at the moment, but give it a years time, if we are struggling in this league, and no progress has been made, then maybe it might be time at looking at a change. We had 4 managers last season and look where there that collection of muppet's took us.

When teams are on a bad run there is always criticism to be levelled at people, and i think it is better aimed at certian elements of the first team that have not been pulling their weight, and it doesn't take a genius to work out who, and the man at the top who should be held accountable for the position that we find ourselves in.

If wilson went, who the fuck would come in and do a better job with the team we have.
Sacking wilson would only upset the apple cart once again, after it has only started to settle, give him a season at least.
were 5th for fuck sake.

Discussing getting rid at this point is clueless. We are 5th in the table for bastardings sake

McDonald was excellent??? Eh? Wtf? He was shite - he wasn't the only one but he was shite all the same. The woeful half-hearted cross that went into the kop, when he was in acres of space near the end, summed his performance up. And he looked like he didn't give a xxxx.

Brer Pinch , I am willing to bet a barrel of Pale Rider that Macdonald will not be playing professional football in five years time . The only way is down for someone so lacking in fitness and determination . We cannot build a team around him .

Didn't see the game last night so can't comment on his performance, though I wouldn't judge him on one poor performance, the lad had a nasty injury last season and hasn't played much football since his return back here. Also didn't Parrino actually play CB for Estundaties? Maybe worth trying starting him there saturday and giving Maguire the much needed rest?

I hope you're right Beech. With me suggesting we tried him to enable Lowton to move into midfield I was really really hoping he'd do well, but he struggled so badly that it feels very risky to play him again. You may well be right that he's really a centre half. Maybe Maguire would have struggled as much if he was asked to play at right back. Personally I'd play LJF if Maguire needs a rest though. I don't know who to play at right back if Lowton gets injured. Is Connor Brown still out on loan?

Conneely?

We are pretty short there. It might have to be Monty!

Fleetwood aka Jim would be happy! Forgot about Conneely, but I understand he's better at holding midfield. Don't think he'll ever get the chance there though.
