When I was younger this skinhead kid used to knock about now and then, never bothered with him but he had the words "Skins charnt be ruled" in tipp ex on the back of his pilot jacket..

Still laugh to this day about that..

It's the small things that count in your 50s, you know.... The memories..

Was he a SHARPE?

Reminded me of the Bradford Ointment graffiti daubed on the side of an old industrial building near Norwood Green. Visible on the train to Halifax from Bradford Interchange.

In the ā€˜70’s - the days is ā€˜self tattoo -ing (school’ compass + inkwell ) ā€˜proper’ Soul (all nighters @ The Twisted Wheel) a fellow Blade showed his undying & indelible commitment to
ā€œTAMLA MOWTOWNā€
Kid I used to work with many years ago proudly showed me his Hell’s Angles tattoo. Just gave me a blank look when I asked him if it was cos he’d struggled with trigonometry at school.

I saw a lad in Grimsby many years ago who had DAZ tattooed in the middle of his forehead, he’d obviously done it in the mirror cos the Z was the wrong way round!

On a similar theme there was a bloke in Hull, must be in his 70’s now or probably up Boot Hill, but he was covered in tattoos, one of which was a pint of ale and the name of his local boozer on his face.

He once told me that the day he had it done, he went in said pub to show it off and the landlord took one look at it and barred him 🤣

Not a tattoo in this case, but a local tradesman hard case near where I lived in Stoke had his new van sign written and in big letters it said ā€œPluming and Heatingā€.

He pulled onto the forecourt of my mate’s petrol station a couple of days later while I was there and I wanted to point out his spelling error. My mate cautioned against that as a course of action, saying ā€œif he says it’s pluming, it’s plumingā€

He made a few appearances on Rogue Traders and eventually did a few months inside, though not for his poor spelling I imagine šŸ™‚

If you’re sixty as your profile suggests you must have been 11 with big chads when the Wheel shut :)

The lads obviously from Brooklyn. Wuise guise rule!

Looks like a young Freddie Mercury.

On the site I plucked it from, some think it's Paul Heaton but I'm not sure if they're just putting two and two together.

Whilst it's certainly like him in his younger days, I'm not sure.

Nothing kills the poignancy of a Facebook tribute like the wish that so 'n' so "will be sleeping with the angles now..." (sob sob etc)
