Sander Berge Haters

Berges languid style doesn’t do him many favours when it comes to assessing his performances

Quiet performance first half along with one or two indifferent performances from one two others whom we expect more

However, Berge became more involved second half. It’s all about contribution and he did that second half so we’ll done to a player who has been unable to shine this season through injuries and then lack of opportunity

Man alive, he gets praised to the skies far too easily.

He had a good second half today - apart from the sitter he missed - and put in a very good assist for the equaliser, but his fan club continue to see things that aren't there.

For a start - and this is not his personal fault - he is deceptively slow. He does glide around like you'd expect a good player to do, but it's like three-quarter pace. This will be his problem moving forward to another team in a major league, unless someone can find a position for him on the field that suits him and I doubt that's the right side of a midfield three.

If you don’t get how good Berge is at this level at least, then you never will

The bloke is a rolls Royce of a player

That was his second start since been out for 3/4 months also

If you want your players to run about and tackle then support Birmingham
I think you are stretching it a bit with the Rolls Royce, perhaps a Ford capri...

Needs time.
Needs games.

Cant believe folk still never learn that footballers aren’t simply robots you can switch on and off.

This isn’t the prem, or worse slow paced European footy. The lads been injured for nigh on 14 month and needs weeks to get totally up To speed and regain confidence.

Just ignore the friggin fee and let him become the player we paid for, otherwise he leaves for nowt and we lose big time. There’s a reason clubs were tracking him and for some reason some folk seem to be enjoying the fact it’s not worked out for us!! Boils my piss.

Pure class. If you don’t rate him then football isn’t for you. Get him central, get him on the ball and we will win games.
Him, Ndiaye and MGW will be the key to our season now.
I reckon Heckys been holding him back until after the window shut

Not been a fan of his but tonight was his best game in a red and white shirt since he signed.
Let's hope he can keep it up, Hecky seems to have got through to him about what's required so he could be a real bonus.

He was below average for 80 mins but got the assist for the equalizer so I guess that's a plus.

Not the answer for Sheffield United whatsoever tho.

If he’s not the answer then neither is nearly every single other player in our team. He was no worse than anyone else on the pitch in that first half and he was decidedly better than his fellow midfielders. The second half he was one of our better players.

I’ve said on another thread that it’s now become a ‘thing’ in that he has to be so much obviously better than everyone else to get even the slightest bit of credit. His transfer fee is probably blinding a few in that regard.

Glad it isn't just me.

Everybody can see his talent and potential..

The frustration is that we know how good he is, but he's not played or performed consistently, we know it's not all his fault.. Well some do, the noisy ones are just frustrated, weather it's righ or not we wanted a world beater,, and they're hard to come by..

Very ordinary and I’m a fan

He could be brilliant

He will never be though

2nd start after effectively been out injured for a year with hamstring injuries 😟😟😟

He did nothing at all for 60 mins and then changed the game. It’s always been clear that he has the attributes to be a top player but he doesn’t have the mentality to put together a string of performances. He needs to do it for an hour, twice a week, for the rest of the season for me to believe he’s changed.

first half awful second half he played like the sander berge we paid 22m for and still think he can be better especially at this level if he keeps that form up and we can get mgw back on the pitch weve every chance of a top 6 spot

The whole team did nothing for 60 minutes. We shouldn’t be expecting Berge to pull the team along on his own
